Ive just 'discovered' Mass Destruction. What a cool little game that is. Its as if someone has thrown 2600 Combat and Micro Machines Military into a food blender and dished up the resulting mush on a CD for the Saturn.
What a little gem!

Nothing yet today, but yesterday, my brother, my son and me had a Panzer Dragoon Zwei fest at his house. The water effects on stage 3 are just as stunning as ever. The end boss is something else too. northernpunter: MD is an awesome game. Repetetive, but fun for a while

Playing Skeleton Warriors that came today from Ebay.
Very pretty and plays quite fluidly. A forgotten gem if there ever was one. Anyone else played this?

Me and the Wee Man have been playing Sonic R and Black Dawn tonight. BD, I've had for 10 years, but never played properly until tonight! It's not too bad a game. How does it compare to Black Fire?

Hey northernpunter. You're right! That Mass Destruction IS pretty fun! The part that amazes me the most is the friggin' high framerate for a fully 3D game on the Saturn. Is it running at 60FPS? Seems that way...
Anyways today I played some Gale Racer, some fun "racing" game (that's more of a scripted "get to the finish line before the time limit expires with a passing rivals touch") that I can't get enough of. I'm up to over 400 little mascot thingies and my little air freshener that swings around changed again, this time to Dr. Robotnik. (For those who don't know, Gale Racer is an arcade port of Rad Mobile, which is the first game Sonic the Hedgehog appeared in before his own. He showed up as an air freshener that swung back and forth in your car. Also Sega's first 32-Bit game)
I also popped in Gun Frontier for another go today (the prequel to Metal Black. Watch the intro to Metal Black. It says "Gun Frontier 2" in it) but the game is a tad too easy. (Though I have heard many people saying it was very challenging, but they might just suck at video games) Since the second day I had the game I've been no missing the entire game on the hardest possible difficulty setting, ending with well over 10 lives and no continues easily. But it's not a game that I play for a challenge. It just has a very nice setting I find and there's just that certain something about it that keeps me excited throughout the entire game. Unlike Metal Black, it's got a western theme and you fly a giant revolver with wings. Also the game is vertical in orientation as opposed to horizontal. Wasn't a big fan of the sequel, but maybe I just suck at horizontal shmups and just prefer the vertical kinds? Would explain why I find the R-Type series frustrating...

Hexxen arrived this morning and it's dog-rough to look at with a frame-rate not exactly brilliant, but it has something that I like. The save points are too far apart and I was still weaponless after an hour of play, but it's a pretty enjoyable game.

I was at one of the game stores trading in some stuff today (one of my extra Saturns and a couple duplicate games), and I came across a Virtua Stick in pretty good shape which I used some of my credit on (only $8). I played some VF2 today to get a feel for it, and it's awesome! too bad I couldn't manage to beat Dural.
