I own RSG and from a player/collectors point of view its an amazing game in absolutley every respect........very deep for a shooter. As for price, I paid £95........worth every penny! Not a game to be played on an emulator though.......generally a poor way to play any Saturn game. The game runs almost 100% perfect in SSF, I assure you, the only problem are a few audio glitches here and there. Playing it with a USB Saturn pad or Arcade stick on a TV removes any "Atmopheric" difference there might have been - which I personally do not believe in, I see it - if a game is the same, then it is the same, regardless of what it is running on, anything other than that is just sheer sentiment. And we must be careful never to confuse sentiment, logic, opinion and fact. I still don't think the Saturn game is really worth £140 which IS the price range it seems to go for a lot of the time, I didn't say £95, however the top I'd pay for the game is £80 MAX. You can have a lot more, and better, for £140. I know Quality over Quantity and all that jazz, but let's face the facts: There are games out there that are equally well made, if not more so, and much... MUCH cheaper, than a £140 copy of Radiant Silvergun, This, is why it is hard to accept RSG, as being worth anything over £120. And of course, it is only the fact that people are willing to pay that amount for the game, that dictates that, that is how much it sells for - meaning; the game itself can be worth anything, it's only because batshit insane collectors click "Bid" so much that it actually sells for that much.

Chizzles, if you want to believe SSF runs RS near 100% that's fine. I don't want to argue the toss, it's all been said before. I own all the good games so don't have to use third rate means of playing them. Frankly if you want to experience the games as intended buy them or copy them but don't emulate them, and stop calling collectors "batshit crazy" if you aren't interested in collecting don't slag others who are. Video game collecting is an expensive hobby, I am sorry you don't like the fact but there it is. And where do you get your prices from, the odd buy it now of a Knobhead on ebay for £140 does not set the price, the price is £80- 110........ has been for years.
You seem to have a problem with people collecting expensive games, why? I like collecting rare and expensive games! It's fun.

I'm not generalizing collectors when I say "batshit crazy" I am refering to collectors that are indeed, batshit crazy. I'm not inferring that you, or collectors in general, are batshit crazy. Also - there's nothing "third rate" about emulators, I garuntee you that you have bought games that use some form of emulation, even if they are official console released - and most of them are based on free emulators. You've not actually said what's wrong with emulation... I'm going to assume that you don't like emulation, because you don't like using a keyboard at a PC desk or something - as I said before, I'm playing them on my TV with an Arcade stick. And I don't want to believe that RSG runs near 100% on SSF, I'm saying that, watching videos of it being played on Saturn, and playing it on SSF - there are no glaring differences that stand out. If there are any they are minor. I never said I don't buy games, you yourself said you own an illegal copy of a game you want in another topic, and I am meerly saying that - after trying Radiant Silvergun in SSF, I'm not wanting to get ass-raped on ebay for it. Can you honestly not understand why someone would use MAME to try an Arcade game before buying the cabinet? It's the same logic. And I never said I wasn't into buying expensive games, I'm saying, that many expensive games, are not worth it. A game has to be extremley good, before I will consider droping more than £100 for it.

Yes chizzles you are right, I own a few Officialy emulated versions of games released for consoles........and they are always shit! Games are best experienced running on the host hardware, especially when it is complicated hardware, thats not my opinion, it's a fact. Look mate, if you need me or anybody else to explain to you why emulation is a poorer experience, especially with a console like the saturn, there's something wrong. You have looked at videos of RS on youtube and compared it to your emulator and it looks the same, give me a F**king break, are you serious?

Gunstar heroes running in 240p mode on PS2 with the filtering turned off is indistinguishable from the Megadrive version. You are confusing you opinion with fact I'm not trying to fall out with you here I'm just saying what I think, it's a curse, I know.

Finally, Destruction Derby arrived at my home. The game's OK though I played it for 30 minutes so far but when I watch the gameplay footage from the PSX version it looks like it runs with much more fps (and a little faster) than on the Saturn...

The last 2 days I've been playing Quake ALOT.
Almost finished it too and absolutely loved every second of it so far.
Next I think I'm gonna continue Crusader No Remorse and then Command & Conquer perhaps story of thor 2 (Legend of oasis in US)

Densha De Go with the special train controller. I don't even like trains, but theres something very exciting about overshooting station after station. I have no idea what I'm supposed to be doing! ;D Also played a bit of NBA Jam.

Currently replaying Shinobi X in order to review it.
Also had a little blast on Bust-a-Move 2. Some of them tunes drive you nuts if you play it too long.

3 of my games (Daytona CCE, VF2 and SWS 97') returned from cd regeneration so I have to test them today. All of them look like new ones and it was only about 2 pounds for one cd. But I still have one issue with the VF2. For some reason it skips the track no.6 (Lion's stage theme). But when I make a fast forward starting from the 5th track and stop at the middle of the 6th it plays normally, but still I won't hear it in the game and it's one of my favourite tunes from VF2...
