Darius 2 is in my local Gamestation for £2.99, should I get it? Want to eventually collect all Saturn PAL games so is this a good price to pay? Also, Street Fighter Alpha 2(I think) for £6.99 is that a good price or am I likely to get it somewhere cheaper? Bought Last Bronx and Kart Champion game (can't remenber full title ) for £2.99 the pair the other day. Thought was a good price cos Last Bronx goes on ebay for about a tenner ;D

Yep, go for Darius 2 for this price. For SFA2, it is also a good price (for me) but be sure it is in really good condition.

Last time I went in Gamestation about 3 weeks ago, they were doing 'buy one get one free' on most Saturn games. I got Blast Chamber, NBA JAM T.E, Defcon 5 and Area 51 for £5.98!

Darius is (or was) far more sought-after than the sequel. Both play and look very much like old 16-bit titles that wouldn't look out of place on the Megadrive. My comment about buying all Saturn games is not as glib as it would appear. With Game buying Gamestation and GS dumping all their retro stock, there soon won't be any places other than Egay to buy Saturn (or any retro) stuff. The only alternative will soon be specialist sites and shops who will soon realise they can charge whatever extortionate price they like. Sad but true. So in the meantime, I'll be snapping up anything with Sega on it, let alone Saturn.

That's a great price for both Darius 2 and SFA2. I've not played Darius 2, but I highly recommend SFA2, especially at that price. It's the pinnacle of the Alpha series in my opinion.

Gamestation can be good for some of the less well known rare stuff. But saying that two of my best GS buys were on the more well known stuff. I got 2 copies of Alien Soldier both complete for 30 quid the pair. I got rid off one later that day for 30 quid. And my other bargain was when GS first started doing the BOGOF on its cheap retro gear. The manager of one of my local stores was leaving on bad terms, so he put BOGOF on all retro games. So I spent 25 quid on Deep Fear and got Burning Rangers for nowt.

As the very proud owner of all but 3 of the Pal releases, I would go along with other peoples sentiments and get them all or as many as you can.

Has anyone ever tried buying Saturn game from the Gamestation website? Most of the ones in stock are the common titles, but there are a few on there I need for my collection.

Cheers for the advice everyone Bit skint at tha mo (just paid off holiday and had to get new passport, pricey ), but will defo go come pay day and hope there still there. Does anyone know if GS swap old retro games around with other stores? The bloke said they hardly get people trading in old Saturn stuff, but there some good ones there at tha mo which weren't there a few weeks back.

My brother lives in Edinburgh city center and I live 40 odd miles away, so he gets in far more often than I do. I just got off the phone with him earlier and he was telling me that there's hardly any Sega stuff left in the usual places. He went to GS in the Corstorphine area and it was shut for good! He went to the big GS on Princes Street and they had about half of what they had previously. The manager told him that everyone is after Saturn Stuff! A quick tour of the Crack Generator stores turned up blank and the indy at the bottom of Leith had reduced stock and was reporting shifting more Saturn stuff than usual of late. Something's going on. One for the conspiracy theorists, I think.

You can phone any GS in England, and if they have what you want will ship it to your local store free. I have had many a Saturn and Mega CD game that way.
