Yeah there are several games that I really can't understand why they did not add mouse support for

Wait. It doesn't work with C&C and Warcraft 2? :\ Kinda pointless then, right?

Maybe it's possible to program some kind of patch to convert the mouse movement and clicks to the controller input the game wants to get! *dreaming*

Both games play fine on the pads, you can even set the speed of the cursor. Nothing to worry about, X,Y,Z used to crate teams. Really simple and not far off from a mouse. Sit back and chillacks. You never feel held back!
I never ever felt held back using a pad to play Doom either as there was no up/down look so played the same. With Doom the RUN button speeds your turning up.

I'm late discovering this thread, but I do have some thoughts to offer... Rule of thumb for the Sega Saturn mouse: Think of a Saturn game that mouse control would be ideal for, it almost certainly has no mouse support (Including C&C and Warcraft 2) While this is true for games developed outside Japan, I've found that pretty much every Japanese game which could use the mouse does use it. And luckily, some of these games got localized to North America and/or Europe, e.g. Heir of Zendor and Shanghai Triple Threat. The North American release of Heir of Zendor even lists mouse support among the features on the back cover! Yep, Panzer Dragoon II. However, it's impossible to get any farther than level 2 with the mouse, since there's no way to change views at the touch of a button. Doom with the Saturn mouse is at least cool to play with for a while, even if the inability to strafe or manually change weapons makes it impossible to actually beat the game, but Panzer Dragoon II with the mouse is totally pointless. I don't know what Team Andromeda were thinking when they added mouse support for that game. Funnily enough, the best use of the mouse I've found so far is Body Special 264. However, I do have Prisoner of Ice in my collection and am greatly looking forward to trying that one out... (Anyone else have thoughts on Prisoner of Ice/how well it works with the mouse?) EDIT: Fixed coding error.
