A charity shop round my way has some Sega Saturn stuff in (mostly crap like Fifa, Worldwide soccer etc)
BUT they do have 2 games that might be worth a go? Tunnel B1 and Hi Octane
I only collect Jap games, so would only buy these 2 if I would actually play them?.............are they any good?, they are only £1.75 each, but I don't want any more crappy Pal stuff cluttering up my games room! (I already have a pile of mulit-format Pal tripe and I don't need any more :-) )

Tunnel B1 is very smooth, but also very frustrating. Hi Octane is a very poor Wipeout clone. Both are worth having for collecting, but not much for playing, tbh.

I second that. Hi Octane is pretty solid and fun, but only for a few races at a time. (The soundtrack tends to become boring quickly in my opinion)
Don't expect too much guns and missiles action though. I find most of the time you speed way too ahead of your opponents to engage in battle.

I always thought Cyber Speedway was a much better Wipeout-a-like. And even that was pretty shoite compared to the real thing.

WorldWide Soccer may have been bested by ISS Pro Evo in recent times, but back around 1997, it was the best football game around. Tunnel B1 and Hi Octane I wouldn't bother with. And I seem to recall Fifa 96 being attrocious on Saturn. I haven't played these latter three however, so if you wanna go with some of the opinion in posts above, feel free. I just percieved them as very average, when there were Steep Slope Sliders, Sonic Rs, Panzer Dragoon Sagas, Fighters Megamix, Virtual On and NiGHTS around, etc... But then for £1.75, even average becomes reasonable.

I agree, for £1.75, even if you get an hour's worth of enjoyment, then it's okay.

Ok you've convinced me! £1.75 is half the price of a dvd rental.........so I'm gonna give one of them a go (probably hi octane)............. I'll pass this afternoon on the way home from work, so hope they'll still have it in Cancer Research!!!

If you don't like Hi Octane, sfk, then I'm always looking to fill holes in my collection. I'd take it from you.
