First of all, hello to everyone as it is my first post. I'm not a native English speaker, but I'll try my best to describe problem with my Saturn. So I have a Model 1 Saturn which has no PSU and a broken laser. I found an OPTIMA-6 lenses which I could use to replace the broken one but... no PSU means I would not be even able to even power it up. I looked at Motherboard of my Saturn and determined that I have a V0 type, or so I think: My question is; What type of replacement should I get? A typical V0 motherboard PSU, or any other one would work and won't fry the Saturn? Also is it possible to let's say, take some other PSU with exact same parameters and somehow connect it to SS, to make an External PSU, like the one PSOne had? This is an example of what I have in mind: www.youtube.com/watch?v=TkwPwoOMudoIf so, what parameters should have a PSU for a V0 board? Your help is much appreciated

You need a VA0 power supply for that, the PAL ones are a bit harder to come by as not many of those were made. Look for machines where the serial starts with 050.
An external PSU would work, if you can find an external power supply to the exact same electrical measurements, that is also safely built (ie. not a hacked up PC power supply).
The easiest solution in this case would be to look for another machine.

Thank you for your reply I suppose it really is the easiest way, but from where I come from getting a SS is really hard, and moreover expensive. Even for broken/ not checked units I talked today with my girlfriends brother who likes to work with electronics and he told me that if I have all the values of VA0 PSU, he could try to make me one. Is there some site or anything to get those?

How much would a new unit cost in Poland? I could sell you a loose machine, perhaps with some cables if you want, but the postage alone would be 30 euros.

It depends. Most that turn up on auctions cost about 300 zł which is about 70 Euro. If you are lucky, you can get cheaper ones, for about 48 Euro - and you must be lucky, because people are fighting over them. Thank you for your offer, but my friend offered to take a look on my unit (He's currently working on it, as I post this) and he says it should be possible for him to build a PSU. If he manages to do it, I'll post a few photos and if he's kind enough to do it, maybe even an tutorial. I'll have my fngers crossed

Take note that the power supply has to output three voltages - 3.3v, 5v and 9v - if you are building your own power supply.
I can send you a spare va0 machine I have for 60eur loose, or 70eur with a spare controller and rca video + power cables, or 80eur with an rgb scart cable. That includes the shipping.
