I'm going to try that. I'm so used to using my wireless pads that I keep forgetting that I have the 3d pad. Yea ditto, I opened a cupboard the other day full of wired saturn pads and though 'oh yea!' ;D

Do you not like using the analog triggers to accelerate and brake? I always use that method. Nah, I prefer the combo of brake and acc with button/steer with analog.

I've been using the same Duracel batteries for over a year in my wireless pads. Wireless analog Saturn pads would be ideal.
I'm thinking of brutalising one of my 360 joypads.

Touring car sadly is not improved by the analogue pad, but I did find it easier with the wheel. I agree that sonic 3D is better with it, so too MANX TT. I actually really like the analogue pad, I try it with most games other than Beat-em-up's.

Don't forget your beloved Deep Fear too. ^_^ Although it was a bit of an arse, when the direction changed when the new background loaded in. =P

Btw- I use the 3D Pad as my main controller, so play just about exclusively with it. But I was pleasantly surprised at how much easier it was to control the camera in Dark Savior with the 3D control, than it was when just using the two shoulder buttons, etc...so definitely a massive improvement there. ^_^

Of course! Sonic 3D. A mediocre title made almost playable with a decent controller. My boy loves this.
