Anyone have recommendations? Exclusives or games that were better on Saturn would be preferable.
Everyone talks about how great the japan library was, but I believe the USA one had some great games too, like solar eclipse. What are your favorite lesser known US released games for the Saturn that ARENT first party sega games like panzer saga?

Herc's Adventures for the Saturn was, if I recall a US only release and is great if you like cartoony adventures. There was a port for the PS1 that released worldwide, but from what I can tell, the Saturn version is slightly better when it comes to the 2D art and music, though game-play is the same.

Solar Eclipse is near the top of my list. I still haven't found a game that compares it to it for a balanced, hard core space shooter challenge. To say nothing of the outstanding science fiction storyline; you rarely saw such brutal stuff as that in video games of the time, especially shooters.
Like all Warp's games, Enemy Zero has its share of problems, but stands as unique in the best way possible. There's nothing like the tension of aiming your gun at an invisible enemy, sweat pouring down your face as you wait for the precise moment to fire... because if you fire too early, or too late, you won't get a second chance.
Heir of Zendor isn't a great game, but it was one of the first Saturn games I got when I started retrogaming, and it blew me away then. The gameplay is addictive and the story branching is just amazing; every choice thrown at you is a difficult one. The game milieu is Panzer Dragoon-ish, but given much greater depth and scope than we got to see in the two rail shooter Panzer Dragoon games.
Not a Saturn exclusive, but I have to mention Grid Runner because it got slagged for its graphics and subsequently ignored. Top notch frantic action, great multiplayer, and complex without being overcomplicated.

PTO and Operation: Europe are fantastic on the Genesis as is Romance of the 3 Kingdoms on the Saturn.

Based on the title alone, I was under the impression this thread was created to discuss US-exclusive Saturn games. With that in mind, here are a few of my recommendations fitting this description, though I should point out many are simply English localisations we PAL owners never received:
Albert Odyssey Astal Contra: Legacy Of War CONGO The Movie: The Lost City Of Zinj High Velocity Iron Storm Magic Knight Rayearth Scud The Disposable Assassin World Series Baseball '98
Additionally, there are a handful of NTSC-U releases with exclusive content, including...
Clockwork Knight 2 (features mini games option not yet completed for earlier PAL edition) Cyber Speedway (alternate soundtrack from Bygone Dogs) Daytona USA Championship Circuit Edition (slightly improved graphics and handling)*
*In this case, I'd suggest tracking down (*groan*) the even more superior later Japanese version, known as Daytona USA Circuit Edition.
Also, it should be noted that US players were "treated" to a slightly different revision of Fighters Megamix with several character portraits replaced by less controversial alternatives - only a completist would ever need this! On the other hand, even though we got quite a tolerable full screen optimisation that had its timing adjusted, does the fact it runs in a native 60Hz make the American issue any more desirable than its PAL counterpart?

The timing wasn't properly adjusted I'm afraid. It's one of the most painfully 'optimised' titles I've played, seemingly the speed of the title being wholly sacrificed for the full screen experience. You really do need the US or JP version via a 60hz enabled console to get the most out of this game
