Apologies if there is an existing thread. Was wondering if somebody could link me to a good rgb scart cable for a Japanese sega Saturn on eBay ? There are quite a few on there was having a hard time making out which ones were decent And could somebody point me in the right direction for a step down transformer ? Can not seem to find one on eBay . I heard maplins is my best bet, do I need to give any information on which model Saturn I have ? Thank you very much , trying to help my cousin get his console up and running Cheers

Pretty much any stepdown will do, the Saturn doesn't draw that much power.

Rob Webb is the man for cables, accessories etc. Any step down will do - as long as it says it lets you use USA and/or JPN hardware with a UK power supply. www.consolegoods.co.uk

Wow, that's a nice converter but 300W is serious overkill if you're just running one Saturn off it. The Saturn pulls at maximum 15W, in fact when I metered my Model 2 JP saturn many moons ago it was pulling more around the 12-13W mark. One of these cheap and cheerful jobs is more than adequate: www.ebay.co.uk/itm/380969829395Of course if you plan on running multiple 110V systems in the future then by all means go for the one linked by nugat

Nugat mick thank you so much, I've been searching everywhere . So I just need a American power cable now ? Will any cable do with two prongs ?

Does anyone have any experience with one of those cheap and cheerful US £7.50 stepdowns that mick_aka posted to? I went SUPER cheap (£1.50), the thing rattles and works for about half an hour, but heats up and just loses connection with the Saturn, which then reboots every ten seconds.

I have experience with one of those now- I bought one and it works fine. It's made by Mercury, been on for a good 3 hours and isn't too warm at all. It's just got the holes for US/JPN 2 thin flat prongs, and won't fit the round EU type cables. £7.50 on eBay, UK seller, arrived in about 4-5 days. Hope this helps anybody.

This tread has answered two questions I had. Also, can the same AV leads be used for both PAL and NTSC consoles? Or are there issues?
