2015 is over and 2016 has just begun, so I wonder, what game is everyone going to try to get into starting this year?
I just purchased Bulk Slash, and been playing it alot, love the game really, very well done I think. But I also think I am going to try and get into Nouvelle Fanpasia Gulliver Boy. It is a PC Engine RPG that made its way to the Saturn back in 96 I believe, by Hudson. Played it once for 20 mins, but I think now I am going to actually try and get into it.
2 other games that might happen are Solar Eclipse and Tengai Makyou: The apocalypse IV. I played through the latter once, made it to the 2nd disc, but couldn't swap as Tengai did hot swapping, which couldn't be done on a US Saturn at the time (which was a main reason why I purchased a JP Saturn). Lost my save and just didn't have the motivation to try it again.

Was super excited about what I accomplished in 2015 as pointed out in sync's memorable 2015 game thread. I finally jumped into the RPG genre and of all systems, I did it on Saturn playing 4 of them... and liking them.
After 20 years Im finally coming down to the end of the North American Saturn library as far as games I need to still play.
Enemy Zero is in my collection and is the biggest title left. That and Dragon Force.
Beyond that I may try to get into the fighting game genre. Never cared much. Most just Mortal Kombat and the like but it would be fun to collect/play the SF games, MSH, Xmen COTA, and so on. Maybe like the RPG genre last year, ill make may way into fighters in 2016.
Im going to Japan in May, and this might be the best time to go as by then I might finally leap more into the JPN library.

Dungeons & Dragons is the main game I want to target this year. Excellent game to get your teeth into. You might wanna start with Tower of Doom before moving onto Shadow over Mystara, you'll enjoy the experience more. For me, the start of 2016 will be a bit of a US exclusive love affair. I'm determined to finish Winning Post, Astal, Minnesota Fats Pool Legend and Contra Legacy Of War. After those then I'll be moving on to Scud The Disposable Assassin. I still have Megaman X4 to complete but I've given up on that one as I found myself getting seriously frustrated at some of the more challenging levels, so time to put it down for awhile methinks. 2016 will also be big for RPG's for me too. I'll be continuing my campaign with Grandia, Story of Thor, Albert Odyssey and Magic Knight Rayearth. And finally the ones I look forward to the most at the latter part of the year and finishing are Ghen War, Solar Eclipse, Mobile Suit Gundam Side Story parts 2 & 3 and Gungriffon. So won't really be playing any sports titles this year.

I actually have a few I feel I should replay... Resident Evil is due for me to do a playthrough with Jill Valentine. Burning Rangers is another one that certainly merits more than one play. I still haven't gotten around to getting the perfect ending to D, and this seems like a good year to do that. And it's time I replayed Blue Seed so I can finally write my review for it.
Hopefully, in the middle of all that I'll find the time to dig into Tomb Raider; I've been really looking forward to my first playthrough of that one, especially after my little test play with it. I also want to figure out the nuances of 3D Baseball more so that I can enjoy a good game of ball whenever I get the urge. And who knows? Maybe this will the year I finally hunker down and crawl through Wizardry: Lyllgamyn Saga. As with 3D Baseball, I'm confident I'll love the game once I get into it; it's just the learning curve that's been holding me back.

I really recommend the Burning Rangers 2nd playthough as I saw the game in a very different way after I ran through it again last week. Tomb Raider is also one i could use a 2nd playthrough.

What I like most is the amount of attention to detail and preparation contents included before entering your charges into races. Its a very thorough game. The only thing I dislike is it required 441 blocks of memory, meaning everytime I load it up I have to do alot of shuffling with alot of the saved games in my internal memory, moving stuff to and from AR4IN1 memory bank to make room for Winning Post on my internal memory. It only really takes a minute to do but sometimes its quite irritating, especially when you have a few RPGs on the go and have to make choices on which ones to move and which ones to keep.

Too many to count: Legend of heroes, Xenoblade chronicles, Star ocean, Persona 5, Bravely Default sequel, etc, etc.
For the Saturn: I hope to get back into some Schmups. Plenty of options there.

I cannot remember why I stopped playing it actually, because it was very engaging.

I plan on - Getting Panzer Dragoon Saga very soon as my next big purchase and sitting down and playing through 1, then 2 and then 3. Doing the trilogy step by step. Cant wait to get my hands on a copy.

Cant wait to get my hands on a copy. If want story chronology, start with Zwei, then Ein, then Saga. However, gameplay-wise, Zwei is a lot more fluid than Ein and it will feel like a big back step. Back in the day, I believe I played Zwei, Saga, then Ein. It felt like a big step backwards.

I did play one and two back in the day (never played saga) but i never really got into the story i would just shoot some stuff then go back to playing mortal kombat or NBAAction. Ill definently play 2 then 1 then 3. ☺

Though I guess the absence of story in R-Zone and Mini would make it hard to find a place for those in the play sequence...

There is no question that people should play through the first two Panzer Dragoon games, before dropping a bomb on Saga. Admittedly I played though them in the reverse order of PDS, PD1, then PDZ. Had I played the earlier games I would have gotten a better idea of Saga's back story.
