It would have to be mine that I saw on sale on eBay last year and snatched it up immediately. It has a serial number of B400004111, so logically its the 411th retail Sega Saturn ever made? I'd love to come across any of the 410 earlier units! segasaturngroup.proboards.com/post/129400/thread

411th in 1994 from that specific manufacturer. But, there is no lower entry in my serial database so it is probably the earliest retail unit we have. This is not counting pre-release prototypes and devkits of course

I'm in touch with a guy in the US I've bought a few things from in the past who has one of the champagne coloured "prototype" consoles that were used in early press shots and at shows, but it's an empty box with some controller ports in it and the lid doesn't even open (not sure if this was the case with all of them) so I'm not sure if you'd count that.

I'd like to see some pics of that; otherwise I'd find it very hard to believe.

I shall have to ask him if he minds me posting it.

No SN since there's no sticker but I guess the MB rev 837-11076 & 171-6874C MAIN VA0 should put it as very early Saturn console?
