Just completed PDS. Like anyone else on here, I think it's one of the best games I've ever played. However, I had no idea beforehand that the OST is so incredible. I can't think of another game that has such consistently good music throughout. The electronic-tribal sound fusion is completely unique; each track also fits perfectly with its corresponding scene. Probably my favourite music in the game: m.youtube.com/watch?v=pywICYWnqsEDoes anyone have a HD download of the soundtrack?

It's the one video game OST I listen to on a very regular basis, even keep a copy in my car, glorious.

Yep, my favourite game OST, and as you say completely unique instrumentation and feel which could only belong to the Panzer universe. It made a complete fan-boy of Saori Kobayashi out of me, who by the way this year released a solo album in the vein of Panzer music, which also included some contributions from other members of the Team Andromeda in the form of cover art and liner notes: store.bravewave.net/album/terra-magica

I own Zwei but I'm pretty shit at it, so I've not progressed enough to get the story. I also own the first but haven't played it yet. Will defo check out their soundtracks now. Kolba -- I'll look into that as well. Nice one.

The PDS soundtrack is definitely one of the best game soundtracks ever made and one of, if not my favourite sountrack. The fusion of electronica and tribal rhythms is just amazing, helping create a truly unique atmosphere to the game. I have to say of all the game sountracks I love, this is the most consistently good. My favourite track is probably Ancient Weapon (that fusion of the tribal beats and pulsating electronic rhythms is just sublime) but I also love the upbeat and playful drive of Paet, the chilled but menacing Water Ruins, the cold and creepy Path to the Being, and the melancholic Village of the Seekers, amongst others.
The Will of the Ancients (who's recent name change escapes me) used to host the soundtrack. Otherwise, I'm sure Google will help you find a copy. I'm still keen to get a physical copy of the soundtrack.
Terra Magicka sounds awesome but Amazon won't let me download music because I'm in Australia and the postage for a physical copy is so ridiculous it's not worth bothering with. Which is a shame because I love Saori Kobayoshi's music.
What do people think of Kobayoshi's PD Orta soundtrack?

Can't fault anything being said here. Definitley one of the best games I've ever played and the soundtrack is just flawless. I'd advise anyone remotely interested in this game to grab it NOW while they can because mark my words by the middle of 2017 you won't find a single Panzer Dragoon Saga under £300.
The main credits Theme (Sona Mi Areru Ec Sancitu) posted by bultje112 is also my favourite track from the game but it's the Guardian Dragon Battle theme that holds the most memories for me.

I remember that i put disc 1 into my saturn to see what it is about but i couldn't get into it. Maybe because the first hour of the game is boring ? Anyone, please recommend this game to me. Tell me WHY should i play it ? Does the game become more immersive afterwards ?

the first 30 minute of panzer dragoon saga are the most incredible kind of gaming experience I've ever had. the fmv's are so amazing and tell such a fascinating tale to begin with. I knew from the first 5 minutes when azel was uncovered I'd love this game

Tell me WHY should i play it ? Does the game become more immersive afterwards ? Admittedly I also found the beginning a bit confusing and had to make an effort to stay interested. But it gets very immersive once you start enjoying the story and get a good grip on the battles and dragon abilities. I'm not a huge RPG fan so I don't necessarily agree with all the claims to being the best game ever. But it really is a beautiful game and the battle mechanic is one of the few in RPGs that I enjoy. I think it might suffer a little from heightened expectations through all the gushing reviews and the excessive price. But it is definitely worth you keeping on with the game. It's not that long either.

I too didn't enjoy the first few hours of gameplay. After Zwei's intense action and Saga's amazing opening sequence, the gameplay seemed slow and too simple, while the graphics looked drab. But my suggestion is to keep playing. Once you meet Gash and the caravan, the story starts to pick up and suck you in. To me, the story hits its height on disc two, where it becomes more character centric, but the philosphy weaved into discs 3 and 4 is really interesting and creates a really deep story and world.
Saga has the best RPG battle system. It's turns-based but feels like it's real time and gives players plenty of options so you always feel fully in control. I've already praised the fantastic soundtrack. The graphics are good too, with some amazing effects. Trust me, everything gets better after a few hours. Stick with it and you won't regret it.

If you don't enjoy disc one, I can't see how you'd love the rest tbh. Although I agree disc two is better.
I thought I'd be safe saying that on a hardcore Saturn forum, but obviously not!
