Hi everyone,
I have a Saturn with a Sanyo 610-6185-30 CD board, and the little power connector between it and the trapboard (171-7412C) broke, and so I am trying to bridge the two back together.
The single wire I believe connects to R207 on the CD board; as there are two pins on the trapboard to which the power connector was attached to, which is the correct one?
Thanks!

That little cable carries power. On the trap board the easiest thing to soldier it to would be the CE1 labelled spot next to the connector - solder the cable to the left side which is NOT connected to the rest of the pcb traces (out of the two holes, the one closer to the connector is power, the other connected to the rest of the pcb is ground).
Make sure you check the connections after soldering, to make sure there are no shorts.

Thanks a lot, Zyrobs!
In the meantime, I had bypassed the trap board entirely by plugging a (longer) 21-pin ribbon from the motherboard to the CD drive, and everything seems to be working fine.
Is there an obvious drawback to not utilizing the trapboard then?

Not that I know of, but I never tried leaving the drive without the trap board for an extended time. It is unknown exactly what it does, other than that a microcontroller there may be doing something with the data.
