Hi all. Name's Ted, and I might be younger than most of you would expect- I'm only 13.
I've known of the Saturn for a very long time now (since I was 8 and obsessed with Sonic) and it's always intrigued me somewhat. Why it failed so badly, and why it had brilliant 2D capabilities at a time when 3D was becoming the new standard. And just a few months ago I finally got one.
The bundle I bought came with with Sonic R and Command and Conquer, which aren't exactly the best of what the Saturn has to offer, but I got it for the cheap price of £35, a great deal considering that from the looks of it, it's currently going for £50+ with no games on Ebay right now.
Since then, I've bought a Action Replay cart for £30, and a small selection of games, like Sonic Jam, Fighting Vipers and Panzer Dragoon, all £10, plus a Steering Wheel for £10 as well, but by far my best deals were Sega Rally and Firestorm Thunderhawk 2 completely free from a very nice little shop near me
I also just got £250 from my family for Christmas, and while I am buying some clothes and PS4 games with that money, £100 of it is going to be exclusively spent on Saturn stuff. Already got my eye on some games, like Guardian Heroes, the Virtua Fighter series, Daytona USA, Nights Into Dreams (+ the 3D controller), Virtua Cop 1 & 2, and House Of The Dead, of which I am getting next weekend off Gumtree
Can't wait to get into importing- stuff like Panzer Dragoon Saga and Burning Rangers are far out of my reach, so it's really the only option for me other than burning games onto CD-R's and doing the disc swap trick, which I really only would want to do as a last resort.
