Haven't played Devil summoner, but most SMT mechanics are the same. You can negotiate with demons, they can give you items, etc. Under certain conditions the demon can be recruited.
In general this happens when: 1. The demon is pleased with answers you provided. 2. The demon (or its party) is almost defeated. 3. You're overpowered for the particular demon and it joins upon an encounter. (underlevelled demons can still be of use, as you can fuse them to get stronger demons) 4. You already convinced the demon during an earlier encounter, but your demon stack was full.
Also note that with all smt games you have a limit to how many demons you can carry. This number can grow if you level up your character. Another thing that will require some thoughts: Demon negotiations are not hard, but often very random. In many of the smt games I've played you can succeed in a demon recruit with a particular line, but when you use the same line with the same demon it might not work. Example, you recruited pixie by saying you think the demon is beautiful. You Fuse pixie to get a higher level demon, encounter pixie again and try saying "you're beautiful , but that line will not work anymore.
As such a translationguide alone won't help you , as the line you need to use on a demon changes, depending on mood, time, etc.
Good luck with figuring it out!

Briefly checked out the channel. Like the fact that you did a video on Operation Wolf. I really loved that game. (the first one, never played the sequels)

Welcome to the forum.
Been playing slightly less long myself, but still long enough to have started out with the Atari 2600. Have been seeing links to youtube channels/video's for years here, as long as it is retro gaming related you should be fine. (though I don't mod this forum mind you)

SMT (and the spinoff Persona games) strongest points are the artstyle. IMO most of the atlus game are way more enjoyable than Pokemon games, but that is just a matter of perspective.
If you're interested in the series I'd start with the PS2 titles, They're a bit less dated, you don't need translation guides and will feel less of chore. SMT nocturne , Digital Devil Saga are good places to start. Perhaps Persona 3 FES too, PErsona games are more mainstream and easy to get into. If you own a 3DS , there are some real good smt games on that platform too. There are thousands of hours spread over so many decent titles. Try those first, afterwards if you still want to try Devil summoner with a guide , all the better.

I would go for the megacd version first. Downside: the orginal copies are a bit pricy indeed There are ROMS out there if you're just in in for one run.

Welcome back to the forum.
As for EU(PAL)/US(NTSC) titles, Daytona can still be found online and in retro stores for a couple of euro's. (depending on the state) For example retrogames.co.uk sells copies for 12 pounds. was about the same when I checked 5 years ago.
Having said that the rare titles are getting more and more expensive.

Bought battle garegga from Terramax. decent price as always and great service/response to messages.
--- side note: Got an extra charge for 40 euro's for import duties, this was due to the fact that the product was insured for the full price. Was expected here and this is not something Terramax is responsible for, however I do feel the need to mention it again as some might overlook these possible charges.

I'd like to see a 4k/ current gen version of that game. That or a sequel. Not much chance of that happening though. By far the best game on the Mega CD and I like the game more than the Metal Gear solid games.

As for trying out fighting games: I'd say start simple: virtua fighter as a low learning curve and is cheap. It really like the fact that it does not work with a zillion button combo's like for example street fighter. Can't go wrong with Nights...

Errr if you don't like fighting games or schmups you'll be missing out on a fair bit of Saturn's gems...
Having said that there are plenty of other games out there for the Saturn: ( some of my favorite titles that would not qualify as fighter ,schmup or jrpg )
* Bomberman ( really one of the best versions of this game out there ) * Worms ( prefer to play this title on the pc, but fun to play on the Saturn regardless ) * Discworld ( if you're into adventures )

So the asking price for Battle Garegga was slightly under 400 bucks and he took you up on your $150,- bid. Not bad, not bad at all.

Same with the Vita but even deader. Anyone intending to build a collection for either of those systems on the cheap is going to be disappointed. Funny how Amiibos get way more shelf space than the Wii U does. All I "own" for my Vita are PS+ games because even in death all the games are holding their value. I have a fair share of physical games for the Vita , though I must admit even to me the console seems pretty much dead and only a few stores actually still sell vita's and its games. Just put over a 100 hours In trails of Cold Steel and -though it was not without faults - really enjoyed the game. P4G and little King story were also nice titles. In general I still think the console is a lot better than the 3DS , just wish the same applied for the games.
