There are quite a few games I'm really looking forward to playing before I ship off later this year. For one, I'm definitely looking forward to finally being able to play Enemy Zero. The game has peaked my interest for years now and I made two different forum topics on the game. I got it in great condition for $4. A steal of a price and just waiting for it to arrive within the next week. It may be the Japanese version but I believe that I can manage for the most part. Congratulations on finally purchasing Enemy Zero. I was one of a few that responded to your original thread regarding Enemy Zero, glad to see you've finally got it. One of the best experiences you can have on the Saturn. I have to say if I'd known you were planning on buying the Japanese version I would have told you not to bother. You won't manage very far in the game if you don't know what the other characters are trying to tell you. Like Burning Rangers, Enemy Zero contains voice directives, some locked up in the FMV and some in the actual gameplay where certain characters tell you where to go next. If you don't know whats going on you won't progress. Enemey Zero is all about the EXPERIENCE. The perfect musical score by Michael Nyman, the story (though not original) is beautifully told, the characters are fantastically acted, the gameplay is great.....I could go on and on. But if I were you I'd get yourself a US or PAL release of the game instead. Watching youtube clips or referring to game guides for a translation source are fine for certain games but for a game like Enemy Zero, that would totally WRECK the experience. I don't know if anyone else whose played the english version would agree with me but I would seriously rconsider playing the JPN version but it's your choice at the end of the day just hope you enjoy the game. Yeah I remember those responses. I can understand why I should get the English version as my Japanese is not that fluent at the moment. After reading your passion for the game I will still pursue in getting the English release as it seems that I need to truly immerse myself within the game to really enjoy playing it. I can think off getting the Japanese version of Enemy Zero as the appetizer for what's to come whenever I do end up getting the English version. And also Michael Nyman had some great scores I tell you. Same with Ian McDonald.

I'm also looking forward to delve more into the Super Famicom library of games. I've only bought the Japanese versions of the Demon's Crest and Super Mario World (WAY cheaper than trying to obtain American copies). The next on my list to play are Super Metroid and Super Castlevania 4 as I've loved the sequels to these games but never got a chance to play these ones.
Lastly in terms of newer generation, I'm actually really looking forward to playing Final Fantasy 15. It has been a dream for me to play an open-world fantasy action rpg set in more modern times, and FF15 is doing that perfectly so far. I just hope that I will not be let down as Square Enix has been known to do great trailers and but not have the best game. But since it does play akin to a slower paced Kingdom Hearts I can say that the gameplay is good from the demo thus far. With some minor tweaking the gameplay will be on point.

I just so happen to have both the North American and Japanese versions of Enemy Zero. The language barrier is quite high. While the game is basically playable without knowing the language, at certain points you won't have any idea what to do unless you know what the characters are saying. In particular, the final sequence is completed by following precise (and randomly generated!) directions to escape a maze. Thank you so much for your help man! This helps me a lot!

So not to long ago I made a thread asking people if Enemy Zero is a game I should purchase. After checking out eBay, I found that the game has risen significantly up. The last time I checked out this game was sometime last year before I bought a Saturn and it was around $50-60 now it is $100!
In my current living situation I cannot really afford to buy $100 plus games so I was wondering if anybody here had the Japanese version of Enemy Zero that is cheap and if there is any language barriers. I tried looking on the net and YouTube but nobody seems to have anything about the Japanese release. I appreciate anybody that can help me with this.

Hmm just played Virtua Fighter 2 with no problems, as well as two player mode on SF. Granted, the Street Fighter disc has deep surface scratches/marks, so I'm hoping it's just the disc. Thank you very much. Yeah it's probably the disc then. After you clean it, check if it is still messing up and if it is it may be the the laser. I clean my laser using a Q-tip with a little bit of alcohol on it. Lightly clean it though don't clean it roughly like you would when wiping a table down.

Hey Promesyn welcome (back lol)! I as well am glad to see another guy from the US joining the forums. I see you put sigh next to USA, I wonder what your reasoning can be? Since you are a huge fan of the Shining Force III scenarios, I want to ask if the games are just as good or better than the Genesis ones. I am currently playing through Shining Force I and Shining in the Darkness which I find extremely fun.

Hey Izod, I too am a huge classic Survival Horror genre fan. My favorite genre in the 90s, early 2000s before it sorta died off. As you mentioned Deep Fear and Res Evil are your two exact matches for the genre. And if you havent played the first Res Evil play the Saturn version. Its fantastic IMO and has a bunch of little fun extras even if you're a fan of the PSX version. But there is also Alone in the Dark 2. Its a bit slower but still has its moments. Not too expensive either. D and Enemy Zero are horror games but slightly different genres. If you are specifically looking for the Res Evil/Silent Hill/Dino Crisis style game then you only have two options. But if youre ok with some solid Horror/Sci-Fi games then absolutely get them. Enemy Zero is a unique game even apart from D and its cool that it was a Saturn exclusive. After that you're looking at House of the Dead (light gun with horror theme) and ill throw in Alien Trilogy because its a moody Sci-fi FPS. Alright I'll check out Alone in the Dark 2 and the Alien Trilogy cause I'm a sucker for anything Sci-Fi horror themed. The only RE1 that I own is the REmake Remastered on PS3, so it'll be cool to play through the original Resident Evil that has extras in the game. I own HOTD already and it is quite fun despite it being downgraded from the arcade. Enemy Zero is a Saturn gem. Everyone Saturn owner to should own it. One of my favourite Pal gam es.Enemy Zero seems to be the game to get then. I'll probably pick it up the next few checks I get, so thank you both for the recommendations! I might consider D if I find it for $20 or under.

I have been looking into getting some more Saturn games lately and I have been picking up quite a few survival horror video games the past couple of months and was wondering if anyone has played D and Enemy Zero and would recommend picking up for playing. I have seen gameplay of both games on YouTube; D looks to be VERY slow and monotonous while Enemy Zero being a more Dungeon Crawler like game with the survival horror sci-fi feel.
If there are any other Saturn survival horror games besides these, Deep Fear, and Resident Evil I'll all up for the recommendations though I believe there aren't any more survival horror games on Saturn.

sychWell the original seller had both the grey and white models available for sale but for some reason the white cost a good extra $20, so I went with the grey one and I am happy to have it nonetheless. Yeah the Wachenroder translations on Gamefaqs is amazing! It was originally the reason I wanted to pick up the game in the first place. @stealthrush Thanks for the compliment on the Saturn! Yeah I am definitely planning to get all of the fighting games on Saturn as time goes by. I'll for sure be getting VF2 next time I buy Saturn games.

What's up everyone? My name's Izod1337! Friends call me Izod! Well for introduction's sake I am a "newbie" collector that has been collecting video games since I was 14 back in 2012. The current consoles I own and collect for are PS1, PS2, PS3, Xbox 360, N64, Gamecube, Wii, Wii U, Dreamcast, and now Saturn! I've only recently picked up a Saturn about 2 weeks ago. I own a Japanese Model 1 along with three games to start: Fighting Vipers, Wachenroder, and House of the Dead. (Some other games from my pick ups of the month) I hope I could make some new friends through the forums and build my collection as well as help others collect as time goes on. That's about it for me so thanks for any replies I get and hope to talk with yall soon!
