Oh that's really cool. That emulation looks really good! Which emulator is this on?

If you want to hear more gushing about NiGHTS, here's my Steam review. It's the highest ranked Steam review for NIGHTS and I think I did a pretty good job selling it. steamcommunity.com/id/sonnington/recommended/219950/Does anyone here play through the tracks for high score? Would you agree NiGHTS is the best looking and one of the most technically impressive games for Saturn?

It's the best game Yuji Naka ever made. It's simple to play through, but it's meant to be replayed to the point of perfecting each track. The imagery in the game is also so beautifully done and carries a lot of symbolism.

NiGHTS into Dreams for Saturn is the best version.
The HD remakes are better looking, but the gameplay isn't as fluid. Bumpers shoot you in different directions making some link chains impossible, some link are in slightly different places making some link chains impossible, and the analogue control of NiGHTS isn't as good as the original.
The original allows you to get higher scores and it just feels smoother to control.

I'm surprised no one has brought up Need for Speed. Isn't it waaay better on PS1? Not in my experience. I used to own both versions and the Saturn version played far better. I can't recall there being much difference in the graphics either but I imagine the PS1 version looked a little better. This video makes it look like the cars are moving slower on Saturn or Saturn has more FPS. Which is rather doubtful. It's definitely a much smoother looking game on Saturn. www.youtube.com/watch?v=RvwreqnAFDM

As a side note, the original release of Myst for Saturn isn't better than the original PC version, is it?

I remember flipping my CRT back in the day. You'd have to wait 5-10 minutes before turning it on or otherwise the colors would be screwed up. Once you go flipped, you don't go back, it makes such a huge difference.
You don't actually have to flip the TV for Galactic Attack though. You can go into arcade mode and play it like R-Type. It gives you the option to change the d-pad controls.

Yeah, Drift King was really good too.
I wish the question was, which Saturn game besides Sega Rally and Daytona was the best.

Other. Scorcher. Easily, easily, Scorcher. It had excellent graphics, a great art style, dope music, and moderate difficulty. It reminds me of Sonic Generations a little since you have to collect orbs to power up your jump and turbo mechanic. It's basically a racer/platformer in many respects. Yeah. Scorcher is WAY up there for me too. However, I always hit these topics with a 'Desert Island/ Prison' mentality where you will only have (in this instance) SEGA Rally and and another racer to play, indefinitely. On that basis I always gravitate to the other game I would most like to play, exclusively, long-term. As much as I ADORE Scorcher and it's right up there for me, it wouldn't be my 2nd Desert Island/Prison title It's an amazing game though and horribly underrated/overlooked. I tried to get PPL into it back in one of our Community Playthroughs *gulp* years ago, however, most PPL just found the difficulty of the game too steep. Shame because, when you 'crack' it, it's such a great, rewarding racing game. Takes some practice though... That's fair. I'd still pick Scorcher as my desert island game. I -LOVE- that game. If I'm on a desert island with a friend, then I'd pick Street Racer. OK, maaaybe moderate difficulty is being a little generous, but it's no harder than Sega Rally. You have to play through the levels several times in order to master them and beat the track.

Street Racer deserves a mention. I think it's the only cart racer on Saturn. Gorgeous graphics, fun gameplay, and it runs at a smooth 60fps.

You have good taste in dictionaries. Webster > OED. With that said there's three other definitions that go into greater detail and can very clearly apply to opinions. Personally, I think I made a pretty airtight and succinct case that opinions can be more or less objective. I don't think there's a valid argument otherwise.

I only skimmed through the discussion, but Martiniii is right.
Lets say I put a cookie jar on the floor with my 4 year old nephew and I leave the two of them there unsupervised. When I come back and see the jar is empty, my nephew might tell me the cookie monster ate them. Maybe I want to believe him that the cookie monster ate the cookies, but objectively the better opinion on what happened to the cookies is to assume my nephew ate the cookies. Opinions or conclusions can absolutely be more or less objective.

Yeah, I'm not a fan of BR. While the transparencies are remarkable in their own right, you have to know and understand Saturn hardware to appreciate it. Overall, if you put BR next to NiGHTS you'd think NiGHTS was more graphically impressive. The gameplay is kinda just boring too.
Edit: For the record, Manx TT wasn't so bad. It's not Sega Rally or something like that, but it was OK.

As a writer I'm sure you understand the meaning of words and the way we interpret words is quite important. Which is why I started my post asking you to rebuke my definition and analysis of the origin of the way we see and use the term morality. Without using a common definition for the word 'morality' we can not honestly discuss it.
