I've been trying to get a plastic case Fighting Vipers for ages as my cardboard copy has literally been disintegrating (!) ever since I got it, but the only results I have found is a sold Ebay listing from Italy and a console bundle from Spain, which is odd. I think that some plastic case variants may have been shipped in higher quantities/only released in certain countries- I speculate this because dantemdie has mentioned to me before that while it is easy to find a plastic case version of Panzer Dragoon Zwei in Portugal, a Sega Rally variant isn't- which is almost the exact opposite over here. I'm not saying its true but it would be a logical explanation. Also, about the Virtua Fighter plastic box variant- I do quite doubt that exists. I'm fairly certain Sega Europe were aware of it's faults, which also was the same for most of the launch titles- Panzer Dragoon, Daytona, Clockwork Knight, and Sega Worldwide Soccer Victory Goal. So, it's no surprise that all of those games that I mentioned had their sequels/remakes got plastic case re-releases and they didn't. The plastic case VF 1 some users have described is most likely the empty display cases for game stores that Mick has mentioned.

The plastic case VF 1 some users have described is most likely the empty display cases for game stores that Mick has mentioned. I think you're right. When Fighting Vipers plastic case does come up on Ebay, it's usually someone from Portugal or Itay selling it. Plastic case re-releases like Die Hard Arcade, Saturn Bomberman, Sega Rally, Virtua Fighter 2, Athlete Kings, Baku Baku Animal, Command & Conquer, Sonic 3D, Tomb Raider, Daytona USA CCE, Sega Ages, and Nights seem to be so common in the UK. Games like Exhumed, Loaded, Panzer Dragoon Zweii, Virtual On, Wing Arms, Bug Too!, Clockwork Knight 2, Fighting Vipers and Streetfighter Alpha 2 appear to me more common in places like Spain, Portugal and other European countries. Had I known this was the case 10 + years ago, I would never have sold my Plastic Case version of Bug Too! when I was low on finances. Since then, I have never seen another plastic case Bug Too! ever appear on ebay and it's been 10 plus years. So some of these re-releases must have had super low print numbers . Madroms (Satakore) wasn't even aware of a plastic case Loaded till I showed him my copy. If I come across a plastic case Fighting Vipers, I'll let you know, so long as you give me the heads up on Bug Too! if ya see it

I'd never actually seen Exhumed in a card case until a year or so after opening this forum, I've owned a few copies and they've all been plastic cased, pretty sure my original copy was too.

You must have been very lucky then. I remember Adyan making a a thread about how he could never find plastic case Exhumed. Out of all the plastic case games I managed to obtain, Streetfighter Alpha 2 was probably the hardest to find but once I got Streetfighter Collection it became redundant so I sold it to another member on here. Clockwork Knight 2 was also problematic to find as well as Virtual On. I'm still shocked Casper got a plastic case re-release, I wasn't even aware it sold well in its cardboard case form so why they'd bother with a re-releasing it in plastic case form baffles me.

Got myself a Virtual On in a plastic case. When i saw it for sale for 9£ (without the manual) i totally fliped. Already had a mint cardbox but, oh well, a plastic case is always better! And to be fair, i knew it was rare AF so i bought it. I'm getting a VF2 case in a couple of days too and was able to find a Sega Rally one.
Was also able to snatch a SFA2 in a plastic case even though it was a little bit expensive. Here in Portugal it's almost impossible to find a complete copy of SFA2 for less than 40€.
I only need Nights into Dreams and Dragonball Z plastic cases to finish my upgrades and i'll finally end my Saturn collecting run.
As for Fighting Vipers, i've seen a copy being sold for 10€ but i didn't need the game so i passed. It IS pretty rare though. Either way, here in Portugal, i'd say that it's almost impossible to find Plastic cases for some games. However, for some reason, PD Zwei is somewhat common - same goes for Clockwork Knight and Dragonball Z (Dragonball Z was pretty much the most successful game here because of the anime, almost every saturn owner had this).
Nights into dreams, SFA2, VF2, Sega Rally... Well, that's a whole different story, especially nowadays. After a couple of years of people selling their saturn games for 5€ each, now they are asking ridiculous prices (stuff like 500€ for a panzer dragoon saga...), which makes collecting somewhat harder.

Well one game that immediately comes to mind for me is Christmas Night. I have seen it last year on ebay in the plastic case.

Was Ultimate Mortal Kombat 3 released with a plastic case cover? I don't think so, but I always wonder how and where the revised version was released: Portugal only ? And so maybe plastic case. Does anyone have the revision of this game, or a plastic version ?

Does anyone have the revision of this game, or a plastic version ? To be fair, UMK3 is somewhat easy to get in Portugal and i've never seen any plastic re-release copy... Altough i didn't really know there was a "revised version" of the game. Can you share some thoughts about this?

Can you share some thoughts about this? You need to look at: - the matrix code of the CD. If T-25403HP-00926A (instead of T-25403HP-00926), you have the revised version - use SRP and look at the version in the header. If v2.000 (instead of v1.007), you have the revised version I always thought the revised version was available more widely in Portugal.
