All great games,
Gradius/Nemesis, one of the first games to really blow me away in the arcade. It was the power ups and fast gameplay that made it standout. It was everywhere when I was in my teens. An arcade perfect port.
Salamander, had the same impact as gradius on me. Wins out because of the fabulous port of Salamander2, a great looking game with tight gameplay. "Destroy them all!"
Thunderforce 3 along with gradius, sidearms and salamander, was another of my go to hori shooters in the arcade, ported from MD to arcade then to saturn.
They all ate my money, and they are still as good today.

Salamander 2 is very good. So is TF3 (and I like 2 as well) but obviously a bit simple for the time and the music doesn't loop properly. Not a huge fan of early Gradius.

I´ve not played any as I don´t like shoot em ups, but I like the aesthetic of Gradius. I´d be tempted to get it if the difficulty isn´t too hard for people who suck at the genre  |

I have these and Marc sunmed it up perfectly. All 3 are good compilations but Salamander wins hands down because of Salamander 2.

Never played either of these 3 but judging from the feeedback it looks like the Salamander pack might be the one to go for.

SALAMANDER DX PACK HERE...
For the sheer brilliance of NOT just Salamander 2, but it's incredible forefather, Salamander, too.
Don't underestimate the first game. It's so much better than both the Gradius titles on the Gradius DX pack.
Such a great compilation. And all that music!!!
