Just another Japanese exclusive we missed out on This game visually looks good for a 3D Sega Saturn game. Seems to play a lot more like a arcade game then a SIM, similar to Virtua Striker (another game I still can't believe Sega didn't release on the Saturn) Would love to get this game but it seems most the menus are in Japanese which is a big turn off for me. What a shame, wish it saw a PAL release.

Go Go Goal is quite fun , and does indeed look great as expected of Tecmo, and really puts EA's offerings on the Saturn to shame.
As for import friendliness ,its playable, but you do have to use Japanese teams so if you were hoping to use your favourite team , chances are its not there.

I disagree. it looks terrible the ball physics and graphics are terrible. it's like little children playing with a beach ball. if you want a good looking saturn football game check world league soccer 98, or better the winning eleven game on saturn: www.youtube.com/watch?v=G56eBYn_OMw edit: how do I hyperlink youtube content here?

Really? I always thought Winning Eleven on the Saturn is kind of rubbish actually, at least compared to the N64 entries of the era, they look pretty mediocre too.
For me the 2 football games I like on the system are Sega Worldwide Soccer 98 and Go Go Goal.

World League Soccer 98 and Olympic Soccer (it plays like Sensible Soccer in 3D) are my fav football games on the Saturn. I also really like Fifa 96 and to me, it doesn't deserve the panning it sometimes gets and is simply ace fun in 8 players mode. GO GO Goal is fun and the best looking football game on the Saturn, it's just that the ball looks wrong and too big.

And I agree, it's not bad at all. I would actually say it's the best of the FIFA series (On Saturn). I think it actually got worse with 97 and 98 Road To World Cup. I think as time went on EA just cared less and less about that Saturn and put out terrible games. 96 however doesn't look bad and most importantly was enjoyable to play. Hit a screamer from outside the box in extra time for Australia in a 2-1 win over Peru! Haha

fifa 97 was worse than 96. I agree. 98 was fantastic though, but the saturn version ran and looked like shit.

Haha Fifa 97 was rubbish on both the PS and Saturn, the gameplay was just such a step backwards, the latter PS Fifa games got really good though.

fifa 97 was worse than 96. I agree. 98 was fantastic though, but the saturn version ran and looked like shit. Fifa 1996 was a great blend of Arcade and Sim football and of course the Saturn version supported 8 player action; Back in the day, that was such a laugh to have 8 drunken mates screaming and shouting to pass the ball or to shot. The game was great, I never got the hate myself Fifa 97 was just utter pants on both formats, though to be fair to Perfect, the Saturn port of the rubbish PS version, was really good.
