Framemeister: S video vs Component for the Saturn

Unfortunately there is something wrong with the RGB plug on my Framemeister it is not working anymore.  Other connections are still working though , comoposite, S Video and  also the D-Terminal plug.

In Order to get another video cable to  use my saturn again with the Framemeister, I wounder if I should just stick with a standard S-Video cable which should give almost RGB quality, or should I spend a bit more money and one of the Retro Vision hd component cables?

Is component superior  to the S-Video on the Saturn.

What do you guys think?

Component on the Saturn is transcoded from RGB so should give the exact same results although some believe the component in on the FM isn't as good as the RGB.

Have you tried simply swapping the miniDIN adapter?

ps: Yes I tried swapping the adapter already. did not work..
