I got a clear one the moment when these (the standard wired model) came out in April. The shoulder buttons click very softly.
Last month I ordered the black version from the same outlet, Amazon. The shoulder buttons are much more tactile, everything else seems to be identical to the clear one.
Obviously I prefer the newer one by quite a margin. If the newer buttons are available loose then retrofitting them to the older revision seems like a useful project, but I got these to facilitate multiplayer Bomberman sessions anyway so I'm not that bothered.
