I bought a Sega Saturn a few years ago. I fell in love with it's beautiful and bold aesthetic that resonated through its games, software, and hardware. I was born in 1996, and my family had a playstation when I was very young. Sega anything was never in my life except the Genesis when I'd go to my Aunt's house. I'd never heard of the Saturn except for a commercial or two I have a vague recollection of. My point being, that I have no nostalgia for this console itself, but maybe I have this sort of semi-nostalgia for early 3D rendering aesthetics, how these interpretations of virtua(l) worlds can be so abstract, and visionary. Giving you a look through the developer's perspective and revealing this beautiful vision all being powered by such a fuckin kick ass Sega console! I love everything about it, every artistic decision made behind it, even the font for the Japanese Saturn logo is beautiful. The console boasted the best aesthetics for it's time, and I'll play these wonderful games on this wonderful console till I'm dead. This is a picture of my console when I first got it.

Maybe I should clarify that yes the aesthetics of the Saturn and it's games are what hooked me, but the games specifically are something special which in most cases you can't experience anywhere else but the saturn. I started out buying some games, Panzer dragoon zwei, nights into dreams (w/ the white 3D control pad). But eventually buying games for this thing proved to be unsustainable. I slowed way down on picking up Saturn games, and I heard about Professor Abrasive's Satiator. I was so excited and dreamed about having all these beautiful games INSIDE this beautiful console. I swiped one of the $50/month spots on patreon and waited, and waited. So I moved onto Pseudo Saturn, then Kai. I've racked up a ton of burned discs, played everything from Bulk Slash to D, to a lot of the games priced over $100 to see if they are worth it (most cases I don't think so). My Satiator came in not too long ago and I'm having a swell time. I didn't think after burning all those games I'd STILL find more great games for this thing that I've never heard of. And I'm excited about this Satiator device and the kind of accessibility it brings for the homebrew scene.

How did you get hold of a Satiator? Are they available now?
