I'm not a big fan of F1 Challenge as a game, but the soundtrack is fantastic!!!
The king of Saturn racers is, of course, Sonic R :3

I appreciate the 60FPS high-res beauty of the 360 port, but I still pop in the Saturn port pretty often. It may look a bit ugly, but they nailed the feel of the game, and the nostalgic feel makes it worth it.

3D Controller definitely helps with some of the racing games. Not as good as the wheel, but pretty darn good. The other bike game is likely Hang on GP 96. Also a pretty rad game imo. rossi46 F1 Challenge does look a bit rough eh? I like the overall look, but most of my friends are like how do you play this?? Also, still can never believe how much better the game runs when you turn off the rear view Mirror
Yes that is Right. Hang on GP 96 was the other bike game I have read about. Looks interesting as well but I think Manx is a bit better. If can find Hang out at a good Price Point I am going to get anyway though.
But I wll probably get Manx first.
I also think that I will get Saturn Version of Daytona nontheless eventually but not now. At first I will start with Sega Really and get Daytona later for Collection purposes.
And I got it Right that you guys would recommend the CCE Version of Daytona to Play and not the first release? Is that correct?

I wouldn’t. CCE isn’t proper Daytona, it’s Sega Rally reskinned to look like Daytona. Circuit Edition out of Japan is closer to correct.

From what I remember Manx TT is the better game (slightly imo), but it is much shorter than Hang on GP. Both shouldn't cost an arm and a leg (at least the last time I checked). I have a JPN version of Manx TT and can confirm its all English so that can help you save a few bucks. In regards to Daytona I don't even know what version I truly have lol

I wouldn’t. CCE isn’t proper Daytona, it’s Sega Rally reskinned to look like Daytona. Circuit Edition out of Japan is closer to correct. The Japanese version of Daytona (CE), has car handling closer to the original but is not quite the same, but it's not 'Sega Rally reskinned'. It was remade by some of the members of the team that brought you Sega Rally. I remember the agony of waiting for the release, then the stifled disappointment of the magazines when it came out. The general consensus was that as as racing game, it was great, but as a Daytona title, it was off target as far as handling went. The expectation was that the conversion was in safe hands because of who was doing it, but the reality fell short of the mark. How cool would it have been if it handled like Sega Rally, though?

Unless you're a diehard fan of the arcade version or want a complete Saturn collection, you're better off avoiding vanilla Daytona USA on Saturn and purchasing it on PS3 or 360, because it's arcade perfect. The only thing better the Saturn version does is the rearranged soundtrack (which you'll either love or hate).
If you want a good arcade style Saturn racing game, SEGA Rally should be your first port of call. It's a great conversion, is loads of fun, and has some exclusive content not featured in other home ports. Plus it's dirt cheap.
After that, I highly recommend Daytona Circuit Edition (Japan) or Championship Circuit Edition (rest of the world). People complain that it doesn't play like the coin-op, which is true (at least until you unlock the Daytona car). However, if you go into it just expecting a fun racing game, you will enjoy it for what it is. Just make sure you play it with the analogue pad.

Manx TT is a good racing game, but underwhelming and incredibly short. Hang On is far superior as long as you play it with the arcade racer wheel.
If you're looking for good racing games on the Saturn, be sure to check out The Need for Speed and Wipeout 2097. Sonic R is another great racing game if you can get past, or enjoy, its cheesiness.

I like hang on with the 3D pad as well, but agree its really good with the racer wheel. Need for Speed is also a good shot (haven't played enough of Wipeout to have an opinion)

Wipeout 2097 is an ace game, and Need for Speed is one of my personal favourites (I kind of like Nissan Overdrivin' GT-R more, the JP version) but they both look and play slightly better on the PS1.
This is not that big of a deal, but 25 years after the fact, I'd put the PS1 versions on first if I was having a 32 bit racing session.
Now I feel dirty.....

Mick take this man's moderator status away!!! He is a traitor! All jokes aside Need for Speed on the Saturn is pretty good (it was one of my first games). Think I typically used the Acura. Wipeout seems pretty good just haven't sat down with it for long yet. I think I expected to be good at it right away since I assumed it would be similar to Star Wars Episode 1 Racer, but it wasn't and hence I suck

My comments are rendered invalid to anyone playing Wipeout and NFS for the first time on the Saturn, if they've not previously played the PSX versions.
The PS versions of both titles run at a smoother rate, are more responsive and (especially Wipeout) possess better visual effects like transparencies, etc.
However - the Saturn versions of both titles play very well indeed.

Haha, dang. Guess who your comments are invalid too then.... I have heard Wipeout is better on PSX but I don't think I had purchased my PS2 yet when I got wipeout. Too long ago to remember

I own USA, CCE and CE (JPN only) and enjoy all 3. Once you spend an hour adjusting to each 3 you enjoy them all individually. There's a knack to the CCE/CE versions (both play different btw) but once you crack the drifting you'll enjoy them. There's a lot of hate for them because they weren't just USA re-released with nice GFX at 60fps and, truthfully, people put more time and effort into lesser games and claim those games be better than CE & CCE (ie: Touring Cars, MANX TT, which are both terrible btw). Manx TT is particularly offensive as it gets credit when it deserves none. 2 tracks, 1 piece of music (I think), uncompromisingly dogshit rubberbanding AI that makes MarioKart blush, doesn't handle/feel anything like the Arcade (remember Daytona fans, this is a game breaker, apparently!).
F1 Challenge plays well from cockpit with no rear-view mirror but lacks depth. Good for TT challenging yourself though. Always enjoyed the fictional tracks best, personally...
