Model 2 for me. Just prefer the unified body design vs the glued-on cover atop the buttons/lights on the Model 1.

I cant choose, but if I had to plump for one, I'd go for the almond-shaped buttons on model 1.

Didn't people believe for a long time that Model 1 had a slightly better RGB output?

Round buttons for me!! I think the newer V-saturn is the best looking saturn color scheme, and the plastic feels a bit more matte on the model 2. overall I'm into it.

If they could have been bothered to make the ENTIRE Saturn matching blue, top to bottom, I would have said the Model 2 Hi-Saturn was the best looking Saturn you could buy. Now, I still think it's handsome, but I'll be honest, the custom lid / standard base doesn't impress me too much.

Both of them have their pros and cons so I don't really have a preference. Didn't people believe for a long time that Model 1 had a slightly better RGB output? There was an article on some site, retrorgb or something or other, that claimed that model 1s had better picture, but the difference even on their own pictures was negligible, Just slightly duller contrast on the model 2, which was caused by worn out caps and EMI filters. You can replace those and get a very noticeably better picture (especially since it also eliminates the screen wobbling caused by the CD drive on later model 2s). That's not even counting that the article did not state the board versions, which matters quite a lot since about five boards were used in both models.

I've always preferred my white with round buttons. But I'm starting to really like the grey I have. Gets better looking as time goes by.

I have a black model 2, but I like the model 1 look better, maybe because it's instantly what I remember when I think of the saturn, since it was the model that was heavely advertised here in Brazil during the launch: But out of all the saturn variations, the transparent one is my favourite, no doubt: I love how 90's it look, it's the sort of asthetics that never really made a comeback, and I've loved it since the N64 "multi-flavour" colors, the transparent Game Boy Color and this bad boy: I wish more consoles, portables and controllers had transparent special editions, I'd buy them all.
