Introduction thread. Hello all!

Hi! This seemed like an interesting place so I made an account! Always nice to see fellow Saturn collectors.

So a little about me. I'm from Europe but have been living in Japan for the last while and moving back my home country later this year. I started collecting vintage consoles this year, mainly focusing on Saturn games, but branching out to Sega and non-Sega brand machines. I currently have a relatively small Saturn/Dreamcast collection of around 60 and 35 games respectively. Trying to buy stuff I actually want rather than buying into lots of hundreds of games that will just sit on my shelf. Though that is a road I might go down. I mainly collect cib and new games and consoles. It has kind of turned into OCD at this point...
Though I am interested in other consoles and regions, I just love the weirdness of Japanese Saturn games. There is something magical about them. 

I'm interested in Street Fighter/Marvel/Darkstalkers franchises on the system as I think Saturn-era fighters were some of the best to this day. But I got some other cool ones recently like Outrun, which I haven't played yet because I've got a white Model 2 Japanese Saturn which as far as I have read mucks up on reading some of the Sega Ages discs. I am also potentially interested in buying, refurbishing, and/or customizing Naomi and Astro City machines at some point in the future.

The magnum opus of my Saturn collection is a black (System-Disc)KD02 with a maker ID "T-325 C02 2546" labeled in red marker. Whoever that may be.

Hi pook ...

Yeah - those Sega Ages discs - I have Outrun and Space Harrier and they won't play on my white console. I ended up just getting a grey one too. There are revisions of those games that run on the white but you have to check the serial nos on the inner ring.

Re those fighting games - I agree they are excellent and most of them on Saturn and still quite reasonable in price. Apart that is from SFA3 - which is very expensive. 

This started off as a UK site but there are plenty of European members here - and plenty of US, Canadian, Australian and South American members too.

davyk is correct that we have a nice mixture of members from all over the globe.

And yes the Saturn has many great fight games, but also some amazingly average or poor ones (which can also be fun haha)
