The Ultimate Saturn Multi-tap - Bomberman w/ a 6ft cable

I absolutely love the Bomberman tap but it just lacks the length of the US multitap making it a lot less usable in my books. I put a 6ft cable onto my Saturn Bomberman Multitap and fixed the issue. Pretty easy mod for those interested.

The end is an Interact end that I got off Ebay. I did have to map the pins out on each connector. While they used the same 9 colours of wire, they were not wired the same way. I would have preferred a Sega-branded end but I didn't want to cannibalize anything. The end uses a metal connector instead of the cheap plastic ones you can find on Aliexpress.

Nice job. Japanese cables are very mean in length. The controller cables are shorter too. I read once it was to do with the size of rooms in a typical Japanese home but that could be nonsense.

Thanks. Your comment made me get out all my controllers to measure, ha ha. While I only did a hang test, my black US is the same length as my grey and white Japanese controllers.

I have also heard the stories about Japanese living rooms and size expectations. It was quite the discussion when the old Xbox first dropped. Granted, that thing was HUGE.

And yeah, I have used a Famicom. Those are some short wires AND they're connect to the unit.

Yeah, I miss the xbox hueg memes. Granted the Xbox One was sizeable too, and got its fair share of those as well.
