I got Dragon Ball Z The Legend in October last year from a Gamestation for £20 which I think is pretty good considering how rare it is. But I have just recently noticed after looking around on the net that every version I see of the PAL version is the old card style and not the DVD like case I have. Also there are a few differences like "The Legend" actually being in English on mine and there being no description on the back. I took a picture of mine for comparison: To compare with this scan from ZoneSega.com (I didn't IMG tag it cause the image is too big I think for the forums): www.zonesega.com/covers/saturn/Dragon%20Ball%20Z%20%5BEUR%5D.jpgSo does anyone know why there are different cases for this game?

Looks like possibly a UK specific version! the other PAL version is French only.
Does it have any other languages on it?

2 versions: FR in cardboard box (I never saw a plastic box for this one) SPA/PT in cardboard box and in plastic box
The one with "The Legend" subtitle is the SPA/PT one. the French one has the PJ subtitle instead.

Ah cool cheers for clearing that up. It's funny because my case has 1996 all over it so it must have been released then but I don't remember seeing the DVD style Sega Saturn cases that early unless Portugal got them earlier than us?

I actually find it quite fun with the 3 on 3 battles being pretty manic! Not to mention the AI is surprisingly good for this sort of game.

Different stokes for different folks, I think it looks and plays like a poor MegaDrive game.
But then I'm alwas bitter about 'rare' titles that turn out to be utter balls.

LOL most rare titles are crap, thats why they are rare not many people brought them. However some rare titles are awesome (IE Panzer dragoon saga) that deserved a much larger print run so more people could savour their awesomeness

So is Panzer Dragoon Saga really classed as rare then?
I can't remember a time when there hasn't been a copy on ebay, so i'd call it desirable rather than rare, pretty much like Streets Of Rage 3 on the MD which always seems to fetch much more than its worth considering there's normally at least 10 copies for sale.

It's all about supply and demand mate, there's not enough Panzer Dragoon Saga games floating about to meet demand so the prices sky rocket. It doesn't always matter how rare a game is, just the ratio of how many people want that game compared to how many copies their are available.

If you keep an eye on eBay you notice the same identical copies coming up again and again from different sellers. I have concluded that people are doing the following: - Folks that know little about torrents are buying, copying and re-selling.
- People are buying, playing half way through the first disc, deciding it's not for them and re-selling.
- People are buying, playing through and re-selling
Personally I don't class PD Saga as rare at all! Rarity refers to availability, not value, and I can't remember a time when there wasn't at least one copy on eBay, many online retailers seem to have copies. PD Saga is readilly available to anyone willing to spend 100 quid plus on it and as it's always available then it cant really be given a top rarity rating. 'Rare' games are the ones you can't find, the ones that never turn up on eBay, the ones you have never seen anywhere in real life.
