Sega Saturn's FMVs tend to look best when viewed through S-Video rather than RGB because they compress the Chroma information to slightly lower than composite resolutions. When you view Grandia's FMVs through RGB - dark and light areas often have a lot of coloured distortion going on around borders because the colour information is much lower resolution than the actual image, and via RGB you are seeing it as the Saturn upscales it. But when viewed through S-Video or Composite, this colour signal is re-scaled back down to something more similar to its original format and then an analog processor overlays it over the black and white image (avoiding the colour pixelation issues). Sadly not everything else looks so hot through S-Video and Composite
