I like Twinkle Star Sprites myself. Add the rest of the Shining force III scenarios and Mobile Suit Gundam Side Stories 1,2,3.

Glad to see someone mention Body Special - thought noone else owned it. It is a very fine game and its a pity there isn't a version with more family friendly content.
Saturn import cute-shmups like the Parodius series, Game Tengoku-Game Paradise and Sega Ages Fantasy Zone are well worth checking out, as are the more serious shooters such as DoDonPachi and Soukyugarentai. Twinkle star Sprites gets a mention from me too - a hybrid shmup/puzzle split screen game.
I can also recommend Bubble Symphony - brilliant sequel to Bubble Bobble, and horse-race-em-up Stakes Winner 2.

Maybe we should sticky this thread since it seems to be a topic that is alway being re-created.

Recently imported Cotton 2 from Playasia while it was half-price. Nice to see that it's considered by many to be a good game. I was worried that it might be a waste of money, as even half-price, it'll still be the most expensive game in my collection, at $50. I'm a fan of cutesy shooters like Parodius, Fantasy Zone, and Twinbee though, so I doubt I have much to worry about.
Agree that this would be worth stickying, since sometimes it can be a bit hard to know what games are worth importing at times.

Yeah Cotton 2 is great. Took a while to grow on me though but now I really do see it as a true gem. Also if you like cutesy shooters, check out Game Tengoku that's another great one.

Sorry but any thread proclaiming that "Radiant Silvergun is essential" will not be stickied I'm afraid.

Hahaha! Radiant Silvergun is definitely not for everyone. At the price it goes for, you really can't take the risk to dish out that much money on a game you may or may not like. (Anybody remember aidenpole's reaction?) I know when I got my first Saturn (US model 2) that was the first game I pirated after hearing tons of stories online and people ranting and raving about how awesome it was. I was vastly disappointed in the end. For a while I was convinced that I bought the wrong system!! ...so I downloaded DoDonPachi and it fixed everything.

(Anybody remember aidenpole's reaction?) I think the same. Radiant Silvergun is definately fun to play with a friend but as a single-player I enjoy Thunderforce V much more. If you like Shmups these one could be worth a look: (Odd that most of them begin with letter "S" ) -Salamander Deluxe Pack Plus -Prikura Daisakusen -Shienryu -Soukyugurentai -Sonic Wings Special -Strikers 1945 I and II -Sengoku Blade -Battle Garegga -Gunbird -Gradius Deluxe Pack -DonPachi -Detana Twinbee Yahho ! Deluxe Pack -Batsugun -Kyuukyoku Tiger II Plus -Wolf Fang SS - Kuuga 2001 -Sol Divide I think that covers it pretty much with the already mentioned. Now I want to complete my own collection a little bit
