traded my xbox 360 with Prabmire for a sega mega drive II w/ master system adapter. Not only that, because he was a little late getting it sent, he threw in a Dreamcast.
A stand up guy and true to his word. Would trade again!

Did a swap with Prab for an action replay cart, held up his end admirably. A pleasure to deal with.

Hey everyone,
It's with some regret that I do this, but I feel it a wise idea for the sake of other potential buyers.
As you can probably guess, I had a deal with Prabmire that unfortunately it didn't go too well. It could have been worse, but it was still not very good overall. Also, I've spoken to others on the forum who've echoed similar sentiments when dealing with him, hence why I'm going into detail here.
Firstly, I've already sent a big email to Prab in his inbox detailing the problems I had with the transaction, so it's not as if I've not made him aware of the issues I've had prior to posting this feedback. However, I've not had a reply from him since I posted it to him on the 22nd of October (he's not been on this site since July 29th, it seems), so I think I can assume he's either not read the email (as he doesn't frequent here these days), or he's read it but chosen not to reply. Anyways, here goes...
Around June time this year I put up a thread saying I was in the market for a slim PS2 US console. Prab sent a message to say he had one for sale, with all leads, an official controller, and two PS1 games, all for the price of £40, including postage.
I'll try and put as simple as I can, but there were a few issues:
1.) He didn't include photos of the item(s). To be fair, I didn't ask for photos, so part of this is my fault. Also, when I received the items, they weren't in terrible condition, but it's worth noting, for reasons I'll get onto later--
2.) on two occasions he upped the price of the deal. At first he asked to increase the amount from £40 to £45, which I was happy to pay, as I assumed he miscalculated postage (it happens). I paid the £45 via paypal (money to friend and family i.e. no Paypal Buyer's Protection (uninsured)). Then, he came back to me, after I paid, asking for an additional £7. I refused, as it was already a done deal at £45 at this point. He then said that the deal would have to be cancelled if I didn't pay the extra. So I accepted a cancellation, and to have a refund of £45.
He then mentioned he could perhaps lower the postage if he removed the PSU and controller, but I made it clear that I wasn't interested unless these necessities were included. He said he'd look into what he could do, and would get back to me.
However, I soon explained I definitely wanted to cancel because I had found another US PS2 Slim, complete with all the wires, an official pad, with tracked postage (1 - 2 weeks) all for the exact same price on ebay (with insurance).
3.) He then came back to me saying he'd already sent the console, without even asking my permission for him to do so!
4.) Not only that but, after he sent it, he then tells me he replaced the official controller with a 3rd party pad!? He said the official one was broken.
Firstly, even if I did still want to go ahead with the deal, he clearly should have emailed me before hand to double check if it was ok to change parts. Secondly, I'm dubious if he just switched the controller because he wanted to keep the official one for himself. The pad turned out to be a cheap pink controller. Go figure.
However, this wasn't the only thing. The power cable leading to the plug socket wasn't included, period. Now, thankfully, I have one from my Japanese PS2, but supposing I want to sell this PS2, I now don't have a power lead to include with it, which makes the console harder to sell. Also, goes without saying, if I'd not had the power cable, I'd have had to search for one of those, causing me more unnecessary time and hassle.
Perhaps he didn't include the lead to lower the postage. But he included two PS1 games; Frogger 2, and Rampage World Tour. Why he didn't just take those games out instead, seeing as they clearly would have been heavier than the wire, and less important. i never asked for the games in the first place. Personally, I think he didn't want to be lumped with the games, and kept the more useful wire for himself.
4.) However, the very most important thing was the method of postage. He never at any point mentioned what postage he was using. Again, to be fair, I should have double checked what kind. But I don't think anyone would have suspected what he did.
Now, I was wanting to have the console delivered to me within 2 weeks. The reason for buying the PS2 was because I had a week off of work and was looking forward to playing Final Fantasy XII and maybe some Drakengard during that week.
I wait 3 weeks. Nothing. I email him about it. Later, he gets back to me saying he'll look into it. It turns to 1 month. Then 2 months. Basically, he sent the item via seamail, and it took 3 months to reach me! I'm sorry, but I think it's common sense that if you plan to send something via seamail, you should check with the buyer first if that's ok, because clearly it'd take a LONG time to reach the target destination.
Worst of all, for those 3 months, towards the end I wasn't even sure if the item was comming or not. And seeing as I'd not paid for paypal protection, it's possible I might not have gotten my money back if it had actually been lost.
To be honest, £45 isn't a huge amount of money, so money isn't my concern and why I'm posting this. My main concern is that, if I don't say something, there's the potential for this kind of thing to happen again with another buyer on these forums.
Since I bought the console, I've come across two other forum members who've said they've had dealings with him in the past. Both of them expressed negative impressions - highlighting lack of communication, and sending items in poor condition. In other words, this is clearly not the first time Prabmire has done this to members of this forum. Whether it's deliberate, or just a miss-communication, I really don't know. And why these two other members haven't added feedback to reflect these dealings, admittedly I don't know.
Whatever the case, I'm not upset with Prab in the slightest, as £45 really isn't any skin off of my nose. However, had I been making a deal with something substantially more expensive, or an item that I urgently wanted within a specific time frame, or of a specific quality, then this could have been a much larger issue. I hope that this feedback will highlight a possible danger to others.
I would recommend, should anyone deal with Prab in the future, that they ask for photos of the items, make sure he's abundantly clear which postage method he's going to be using, make sure they pay via paypal's buyer's protection option, and to make him agree that if there are any changes to the deal of any sorts, that he needs to get clarification from the buyer that it's ok to make such changes BEFORE sending the items out.

You are right to advise everyone. You've done so in a very detailed, civil manner and made good suggestions on how to deal with him in the future.
Thank you for letting us know, Terramax!

Not that I was ever going to say anything but after the bullshit Terramax has had to put up with I will... I've never actually bought or sold anything too prab but trying to deal with him was a mare. He asks for something directly and publicly so you make an effort to help as a favour but that in it's self ends up going no where... It will get to the point when he will leave you hanging on a piece of string and doesn't get back. This has happened more than once. Put it this way, little does he know I was on the verge of sending him something for fuck all that is worth money on ebay, but when one thing leads to another and because the ball is always in his playing field it's you that ends up getting pissed off wishing you never bothered. The last time prab did this I shared it with some one else on here and they already knew what I was going to say before I said it... All this and nothing ever changed hands. If your wondering what the heck has this got to do with anything, if you think your doing him a favour then chances are he's only interested to see what can make out of it, why you get all the fucking about...
