Always glad to hear that people have a use for all this.
I decided to put the menu translations in a new post instead, though I did edit the first post anyway to put in an NPC dialogue that I somehow overlooked. Anyway, here it is:

0. Menus
********
A.Opening Menu
-Load Data
-New Game
B.Camp Menu
-Rest/Save
Select this and you go to a sub-menu with two options, Rest and Save. (Why they didn't just make these two separate options right from the main menu is beyond me, especially since that's exactly how it was in the 3DO version!) Both are only available while on the world map. Save is self-explanatory. Rest recovers all HP free of charge. I advise against using Rest; I didn't use it at all on my first playthrough and still found traveling the world map to be quite easy. Also, since Rest doesn't recover MP, it essentially discourages you from using spells during world map battles, and that's no fun.
-Items
-Equipment
The two stats on the top row are Attack and Protection (i.e. Defense), and the two on the bottom row are Destruction and Magic. The Destruction stat is solely a function of your equipped weapon, and determines which objects you can destroy.
-Magic
Only Lucienne can use magic in the normal manner; her companions must cast spells using talismans via the item menu. See also Magic Menu.
-System
This opens up a sub-menu with the following:
---Status
---Formation
This is where you choose your party members and arrange their formation. Formation is a lot more important in Sword & Sorcery than in most RPGs; for example, if Character A is in the back row and Character B is in the front row directly ahead of him, Character B will usually take any hits meant for Character A. Anyway, the three rows here are "front row", "rear row", and "reserve".
---Camera
There are several options for camera behavior. I recommend the default, but the others are worth checking out for coolness factor. A bit of trivia: the "SS" option is exclusive to the Saturn version. You can also cycle through the camera options at any time using the shift buttons, so this menu option is redundant.
---Sound options
An exclusive feature of the Saturn version! ...Yay? Anyway, the three options here are music (normal, loud, off), sound effects (on, off), and voices (on, off).
---Quit
Returns you to the opening menu if you select "yes".
C.Battle menu
-Attack
Some weapons can cast spells. If you have one of these equipped, selecting attack opens up a sub-menu with two options. The first is a regular attack, and the second is the spell.
-Defense
-[Each of the playable characters has a unique ability which appears in this slot of the battle menu. The one exception is Ago; his unique ability is transforming to werewolf form at night, which is automatic and thus does not appear in any menu. The others are Lucienne: Magic, Miminaga: Earthquake, Golem: Self-destruction, Kaneyung: Breathe Fire, and Be-o-melda: Throw.]
-Items
-Equipment
-Escape
D.Magic Menu
Most spells have five levels, with level 2 costing twice as much MP as level 1, level 4 costing four times as much MP as level 1, etc. All levels of a spell are available as soon as you learn it. I've labeled each spell as either range (multiple targets, higher levels widen its range during battle) or power (one target, higher levels increase its potency). Unlabeled spells do not have levels. The spells are listed in the order they appear via the Battle Menu; in the Camp Menu they're reordered so that all battle-only spells are at the bottom. To date, I've only covered the spells Lucienne has initially, but this should give you the basic idea. You ought to be experimenting with the spells anyway, as some of them are extremely useful.
-Fire Balls (power)
Fire attack.
-Healing Charm (power)
Recovers HP. Since the potency of this increases as you level up and use magic-boosting items, you'll never have any need for higher than level 2.
-Speed Charm (range)
Increases speed.
-Sleep Charm (range)
Puts enemies to sleep. Surprisingly effective, though enemies will awaken if attacked.
-Spell Antidote (range)
Cures all status ailments.
-Teleport
Transports you to any previously visited town, except in battle, where it is instead a guaranteed escape. The towns are listed starting with first visited.
