Monitor is dead, sorta. The thing was dangerous so I had to throw it away. I'm atm looking for a new cabinet Same thing happened to my MVS cabinet. I rang so many places trying to find someone who would fix it but no one wanted to touch the thing. I now just have an empty cab in my shed, after selling all the insides.

Buying an arcade cab is always something I've wanted to do since I was about 8 and first went in to an arcade. Sadly, I'm not exactly technically minded (I don't really understand what JAMMA is and if I can plug different arcade ROMs into it) so until I read-up, get well again and get my own place again, this dream will have to remain as such. Ditto. When I found out there was a chance I couldn't live in Japan, I seriously thought about blowing some of my cash on a cabby instead. Or just buying the separate piece individually. Now I know of two stores that sell arcade parts in Akiba, once/ if I earn enough money, I'll invest one day. Also, another forum member might sell me a Neo Geo MVS one day.

I've got a few arcade bits. A Lordsvale 6-slot MVS cabinet that currently has Blazing Star, Metal Slug X, KOF96, Mutation Nation, Puzzle Bobble and Shock Troopers 2nd Squad in. I've also got a Naomi Universal (not chopped like yours chapddr) that has Capcom Vs SNK in at the moment. I'm considering selling the Lordsvale and picking up a New Astro City and just buying another Neo Geo motherboard beacuse that 6-slot is MASSIVE.
@spolit If you ever consider selling your model 2 bits let me know I'd love to have Sonic the Fighters running in a cab

pulstar - MVS stuff is cool. I need to get into that eventually. I won't be giving up my Sonic Fighters board as Sonic is my favourite game series

My baby. I have about 40 or so PCBs currently. Very nice, Superdeadite. I love the 6 button layout, so many of these things have 3 or 4 buttons, what's the point if you can't play Street Fighter properly Idiot question, when you say you have 40 PCBs I assume they are the games you can plug into it? Do you have a list? Also does this mean you have been buying original games rather than go the Mame route?

I mean actual PCBs. I really don't see the point of a MAME cab. If you want to use MAME, just use a computer... Hmm, I'm too lazy to take proper inventory, so off the top of my head here's a few of my favorites:
Splatterhouse Gunnail Rolling Thunder Riot Fire Barrel Koutetsu Yousai Strahl Gradius II Gradius III Gradius IV Salamander Makaimura (Ghosts'n'Goblins) Thunder Cross Thunder Cross II R-Type R-Type Leo Armed Police Unit Gallop Dragon Breed Cotton Xexex Castle of Dragon Bubble Memories Saboten Bombers Mars Matrix Crystal of Kings X-Multiply Driftout '94
Certainly more, but I've gotten rid of a few over the years such as Progear...I'm getting too old for this shit lol.
Note, for NeoGeo, I prefer to buy AES carts, which I have about 60 or so of. I do have an MVS mobo for games that didn't have an AES release though such as Operation Ragnarok, Neo Driftout, and Prehistoric Isle 2.

superdeaditeLike Matt said, very nice I'm presuming (perhaps wrongly) that you have some sort of Supergun set-up in that beauty? I hope you have a Raiden II PCB

I agree completely, If I was going to get another cab (and I one day hope to) I'd want the actual hardware and PCBs in there, not a glorified emulator. Some great games there. I'm very jealous

superdeaditeLike Matt said, very nice I'm presuming (perhaps wrongly) that you have some sort of Supergun set-up in that beauty? I hope you have a Raiden II PCB Why would you put a supergun in a cab? That would be like putting a cab inside another cab. A supergun is just the guts of a cab packed into a little box, which is easy realize there is very little inside a cab, just a monitor, speaker, control panel, power-supply, and the cables that connect everything. I do have a supergun as well, but putting that inside my cab would probably start a fire No Raiden II right now, for my Raiden fix, I prefer Fire Barrel

I recently bought a VF3 PCB. Now I just have to get the wiring sorted to play it in the cab. I've got a VF2 setup so most of the wiring is transferable, it's just the power that needs sorting.

You sold Progear? Awhile ago, mine was an original battery powered one, worth a LOT of money, and while I like the game, it didn't get enough play to make it worth keeping. I could easily get another if I ever want to though. Finally, had to import this from the USA, worth it though.
