Hi....some of my game discs are starting to become tempermental at loading. Deep Fear and Riven often need a good wiping before they'll load properly....as is disc 1 of Panzer Dragoon Saga. O_O. (Though thankfully, I have two disc 1s, thanks to the free one from SSM).
I'd really like to create backup copies of some of my games, incase at some stage they stop working altogether, or the discs get too scratched.
So two questions: 1) Can I just use the likes of Nero on PC, or Titantium Toast on Mac, to make a copy of the CD as I would for any other data CD? Or is a different process required?
2) If my backups are on CD-R, how can I enable my PAL Saturn to read the resultant CD-R discs?
Thanks in advance,
Yours, Andrew.

Now don't forget, you can only legally use backups of games you own full copies of 1) Can I just use the likes of Nero on PC, or Titantium Toast on Mac, to make a copy of the CD as I would for any other data CD? Or is a different process required? Yep, I use Toast 6 to directly create Saturn backups. 2) If my backups are on CD-R, how can I enable my PAL Saturn to read the resultant CD-R discs? You can either use the old fashioned disc swap trick, which is a total pain in the arse or... you will be needing a mod chip! If you have a model 2 Saturn (round power and reset buttons) and a modest knowledge of soldering go for the one that Rob sells: home.clara.net/robwebb/shop/saturn/saturnhard.htmI have 2 of this type, easy to install and not had any problems. Or alternatively if you have a Model 1 Saturn (oval power and reset buttons) your only option nowadays is the Racketboy chip from the states: www.racketboy.com/saturn-modchip/However you will need some serious soldering skill or a good friend with such in order to modify the Racketboy chip for use in a model 1. I've heard good things about the Racketboy chip but unlike Rob's offering I have no personal experience of it.
