The demo was fantastic. I just wish it was either cheaper or on the Switch.
I don't care much for playing games on my laptop so I know I'd beat it and never touch it again. At least if it was on the Switch, I know I'd replay it.
Hopefully in the future. We're getting REmake 1 and 0, along with (presumably) a port of 4, so at least I'll have 5 resi games on my switch by the end of the year.

I'm currently playing Cyberia. I'm really digging it. I mean, it's dated as hell and bastard hard, but it also has a lot of charm to it too. Cyberia... nice, I died so often in this game, also because I was out in the cold for too long! Great soundtrack. I once put this disc in a music cd player to listen to the beautiful music, i received a warning "don't put this disc in a music player, stop immediately". I was shocked

I have been getting stuck into Dracula X over the weekend, great game. I will try to complete it, I have quite a large part of the map uncovered so it would be silly to stop now.

I beat Doom this morning. Great stuff.
Next I'll tackle Shining Wisdom or Tama: Adventurous Ball in Giddy Labyrinth

I was sure it was going to be a perfect port and the saturn would run it no problem but it ran like plop. It also didn't have the music from the pc version which was a major let down for me. This was before I got the 60hz mod though maybe it runs better in 60hz. Quake runs loads better which makes no sense to me!

Well, I've started playing Pandemonium and .... yeah, I dig it. I've been putting it off because I wasn't sure that I would like it, fearing it would be another kinda average platformer, but it's not. The graphics look really pretty, especially in 2.5D glory, and the music is awesome. The gameplay is also pretty solid too, although they seem a bit stingy on lives. I'm constantly starting a new level with 1 or 0 extra lives and ultimately game over, having to restart the stage from scratch. The two initial heart containers don't help either, since they're easily lost.
But apart from those beefs, it seems pretty cool.

Pandemonium ? Would you classify it as a Platformer game ? What does the gameplay look like actually ?

It's definitely a platformer. I haven't covered it in a Gems episode yet, but COE have covered it so have a look at that review to give you an indication as to what it's about.

Really need to. It was a game I used to enjoy reading about as a kid. Oddly I never knew there was a Saturn version until many years later.

Put ALMABHOL in as your password and you'll start a new game with a whole screen full of health and 31 lives IIRC...

Pandemonium is a great game but I wouldn't say it's a gem. Any Saturn game that's better on the PSX can't be a gem. For me a gem is something exclusive to the Saturn or a game better on the Saturn than on any other console.

Good talk, would you give your list of gems on the system ?

Nah. A Gem is just a good game that Saturn owners should think about playing. Pandemonium is pretty cheap and the quality of the game is pretty damn good. The PSX version may be better (I don't know), but that hardly matters. I don't have a Playstation, and I imagine a lot of Saturn owners don't, so there's absolutely no reason to not mention a game because of that.
A Gem is a gem, regardless of system availability or whether one version may be slightly superior to another.
