Well you've had loads of time for nominations, time for the vote!
Looks like the Panzer Dragoon series should get a special award lol

Best all round shmup on Saturn is Battle Garegga. The saturn, essentially a 2-D console excels at shmups, it's what it does best and this is one of the best on any console..... taking gameplay, longevity, graphics, sound and programming into consideration as well as presentation and sheer brilliance....Raizing/8ing you rock!!!!!!!!

Langrisser IV, best SRPG ever. I love the genre and today still nothing beats this game.

I probably enjoyed Panzer Dragoon most the first time I played it, but the game I spent the most time on by far is Sega Rally.

I car'nt vote in this one as I have only played Sega Rally and Panzer Dragoon in that list. I know the shame, so as a punishment i'll get my wife to tie me to the bed a whip me soundly. Altho in my house thats not a punishment its every Saturday night.

Haven't tried any of the games yet except for Sega Rally. Even though I'm a shmup fan, I won't jump to vote on Battle Garegga without trying it first. So for now, or this year, or whatever... until the next "Best Saturn Game Ever" vote, I'mma say Sega Rally. For a racing game, it's dang fun! I love it!

Still no love for the Panzers? My youngest brother is obsessed with Panzer Dragoon. So much so that he has them all, including the Sega PC versions and even the Playstation 1 title, Omega Boost, that was developed by some of the original Panzer coders. He even has some of the French artwork that was the inspiration for the PD games (allegedly....)

As much as I am a huge fans of the PD series, it's hard to beat the overall package that is Sega Rally. Zwei, then Saga would be my next votes.

I felt sorry for PDS as it is such a great game and had no votes
Sega rally is also one of my favourites

The French PD artwork was by Moebius, who penned and illustrated popular comic books such as Blueberry (wild west pioneer with nothing to lose) and Arzach [sic] which he used as inspiration for his PD work.
Oddly enough, SEGA themselves don't have any of the originals as Moebius decided to keep them. One example of the artwork is on the cover of the first game in the series. There's a really nice site called "Lagi: The Art Of Panzer Dragoon" which has most of the official stuff on it (with exception of a lot of the Moebius pieces) and is well worth a look if anybody would like the link ?
I could never vote Dark Savior as anything positive in a poll. It has some of the messiest platforming sections on Saturn (Land Stalker was easier, even) punctuated with a pointless and limited 3D cam "Hyperion Perspective".
It had a brilliant storyline and some nice visual touches though =)
P.S. My comments are my comments alone and are in no way intended to upset the one person who voted on the game. Just so we're clear.
