Perhaps Mr. Bones and D as well; or one of the Darkstalkers games that you may happen to own.

Darkstalkers is a great suggestion, Doom maybe but nothing scares me more than a few minuets with Virtual Hydlyde *shivers*

Been replaying Deep Fear, its hard to convince people who havent played it just what an amazing game this is (even with the dodgy voice acting) For me Deep Fear is far scarier and just generally better than Resident Evil 2.

The best version of splatterhouse is on PCE, it's identical to the arcade, both graphically and gameplay-wise........Yeah, one cool game!

Splatterhouse on PCE is good (gameplay is solid), but graphically its not quite up to the arcade I must say. Arcade: www.youtube.com/watch?v=zJSOaaW8BOcPCE: www.youtube.com/watch?v=A5RX_UNIf3QIf you want a perfect port of the game then you should be playing the FM-Towns version. However buying the actual board would probably be far cheaper

Wow, having not seen either version for a few years or running side by side, I am surprised they are so different graphically, not the way I rembered them at all. Maybe the gameplay won me over on pce, blinding me to the graphical shortcomings (compared to megadrive which was sloppy gameplay wise, but looked O.K) Fm towns version? Über-rare even on tweebay.......

I played House Of The Dead and Gregory Horror Show (PS2 fodder I know but excellent) on Halloween whilst cranking out The Misfits and White Zombie!!............it was ALRIGHT.

Does Virtual Hydlyde count as horror?
The ending was horrific!

The Misfits? "We are the Misfits, our songs are better, we are the Misfits, the Misfits, and we're gonna get her....oooh...Jem!"
Anyway, I vouch for D! Even the manual recommends turning the lights off, and turning up the volume. ^_^ It's great to play for an hour in the dark. ^_^
Mike - Deep Fear has some slow and average bits - it only gets brilliant when you come up against the bosses, or are racing to get out of the sub to a time limit, etc. The FMV is excellent, the cutscenes entertaining, but there are plenty of slow bits too. Overall, I really like the game, and gave it a Brilliant Blue in United Games' colour system, but everytime you mention it, you sound like a blatant fanboy over-hyping it. ^_^

wow, thread from the dead. Perfect for Halloween Anyway the Cotton games on Saturn have lots of cool Halloween-esque artwork. I'm also digging War of the Dead (PCE).
