I use my Saturn for playing my music CDs on the TV beside the laptop I do stuff on. It's a great little player and works pretty quickly. Easy to use, and there's even little indents on the controller telling you which button does what. It's a pretty fine piece of software in my opinion!
But you can also play music from the Saturn games if you pop them in after you're already at the screen. I'm sure a lot of you know this already, but I think it's an absolutely fine feature as I got a lot of Saturn games that lack a sound test mode with absolutely ace music that I just love listening to.
I found out just today that you can even pop in a PC Engine CD-ROM game into the Saturn and it'll read it as a music CD and play all the tracks as opposed to a regular CD player refusing to. Now I'm jamming out to the soundtracks of all four PC Engine released Ys games as well as L-Dis!
I also love fooling around with the pitch and vocals. You can make some happier sounding tracks sound like death metal. ;D
The Saturn Music Player is pretty amazing! What do you guys think about it? Sure it doesn't have the trippy and wicked visualizations the Sony PlayStation had, but it works much better and easier to navigate in my opinion.

The Saturn game redbook audio playback works in any CD player.
Only if the games actually have redbook audio, mind.
Most CD players will play Saturn and PCE CD games redbook tracks, it's very rare that they dont...

Bah I just might have bad luck then. I could never get red book audio to work on any of my players.

*shrugs* on the flipside I may have good luck, although this seems unlikely based on courses of other events that take place in my life. xD

My Saturn was my primary CD player up until about 2001 when I finally got a CD deck to add to my Sony separates.
I had the saturn hooked up to my AV amp, the quality was excellent ;D

(song names, composer, game, etc) Yeah, unfortunatly it relies on user uploaded titles to get this information. Media player swiftly named all of my Panzer Dragoon tracks as being created by "Pink Floyd".
