The English translation for DF II is finally available and would like to play it. Can this be played on a Saturn using an actual physical copy of the game? If so, how?

The latter can be done quite easily but the CD drive motor will take a potential beating every time you do it, as will the discs you use.

I hate the swap trick and never recommend doing it. As the years go on and the value of a Saturn system goes up, its not worth breaking. Mod chipping isnt too expensive either. There are a few websites that will do it for 50-60$ if you dont want to do it yourself. I guess sorta pricey but only a one time cost.

The consoles themselves are not worth that much really, I picked one up for £20 a few months back. It's a small price to pay if you're that eager to play backups with an element of risk.
I used to hot-swap everything back on my original PS1 many moons ago, even after 2 years of abuse it was still running fine.
