THey would have to be more expensive than the average indie DC release anyway, noy only for the lower number of copies but also because it will need a bigger investment (in time and effort) to be produced/manufactured. This is your problem, personally even as a Saturn collector I wouldn't be willing to drop significantly more money for a Saturn version of a home-brew game I could pick up for my Dreamcast, unless the Saturn version was more feature rich and then you have to charge more for that too...

A Portuguese company recently tried to Kickstart a remake of a pretty cool puzzle game on the Saturn, Baku Baku. Their Kickstarter ran for 22 days and garnered only 24 backers before they pulled the plug on it. This was a release that would have been accessible to a wider audience since there were versions planned for several modern platforms. Unfortunately, there is very little awareness in the West when it comes to Saturn games. Just some food for thought...

Exposure is key. Im not saying Europe is any less of a market for games than the US but when a kickstarter of even minor interest gets circulated over here, people throw money at it.

Hi there!
I will absolutely buy Ameba for the Sega Saturn :-) I love the Saturn and the more i hear about this game i get more and more enthusiastic.
I think there is a market for the Sega Saturn. But the key is marketing. If Sega Saturn fans know about the game i am sure that plenty of people are willing to pay even an extra cost for a game on the system. The dreamcast already has a lot of homebrew games. But for the Saturn this is something uniqe.
Count me in :-D You are doing a great job

Well, we just showed our first demo during the weekend at RetroBarcelona! I really haven't had the time to translate it yet, but I'm sure you'll get the idea (of how great the event was) by checking out the pics: retrosumus.com/2015/11/algo-pasa-en-retrobarcelona/

Cannot read Espanol, but the pics were all very cool. I really like the look of the guy you're sporting across all your marketing stuff (Grey Hair & Dark Beard). Looks very cool. Nice to see you got your copy of Ghost Blade from Rene. Still waiting on my Collectors Edition

Well, they're claiming they're still going to press forward with it. I think the plan is to release a demo and then try Kickstarter again, so you may just get another chance to back it.

Nice to see you got your copy of Ghost Blade from Rene. Still waiting on my Collectors Edition I think Google Translate does an acceptable job from spanish to english Anyway, there's an english version coming soon by The Dreamcast Junkyard. That's the main character, Hugo Smirnov from the Policía Nacional: youtu.be/LaKeFl2b2yQ

I lost track here, I see you are making the Dreamcast version, what is the status of the Saturn version?

I lost track here, I see you are making the Dreamcast version, what is the status of the Saturn version? Dreamcast/Saturn/PC versions are being developed together and are basically at the same stage of development. We showed the DC demo because it was a retro/indie event (so the DC made more sense than a regular PC) and the DC was obviously easier to just burn an image and boot it without mods or extra carts or whatever

I would, that doesn't mean I'm not curious, as there's virtually NO homebrew at all running on the Saturn in the last 20 years...
