That's not an opinion. That's a presumption.

As with MANX TT and SEGA Touring Car (which are BOTH shit btw) you're always going to be subjected to the "You did play it with the analog controller... didn't you??" and the "it's a COMPLETELY different game with the analog controller... BELIEVE ME!?!"... but take it from someone who owns all 3 titles AND (gasp!) an analog controller. It IMPROVES the game's, slightly, but doesn't change the experience anywhere near enough to justify the revelations and comments people make. I haven't played Manx TT for over a year, but decided to play it just recently to make sure I'm not being overly nostalgic. I tried playing the courses a few times with the D-pad and analogue, and it does affect the overall playing experience to a significant degree. Having to constantly tap the D-pad doesn't feel natural at all. While with the analogue you can hold the thumb-stick in the relevant position. However, the biggest difference is cornering sharp bends. With the D-pad there is no happy medium when you try to corner. It's all or nothing, often leading to under or over steering and often both on the same bend. Manx TT may not be a master piece, and it's not even the best bike racing game on the system, but it's certainly not a terrible game. The biggest problem the game has is it's length, which is the result of it being an arcade port.

hahaha calling hang on gp better than manx tt you must be on drugs You have played Hang On GP with the wheel, right? Hang On GP with the wheel is almost as good as Daytona. It does change the game significantly from being a pile of shit with the controller. Manx TT isn't a bad game but the horrible rubber banding AI kills it for me. Hang On is the better game. At least it is with the wheel.

hahaha calling hang on gp better than manx tt you must be on drugs Nah. I'd say Hang On is better. Bear in mind, Manx TT IS pointless shit. 2x tracks, horrible handling that completely belies the Arcade Original (unlike say Daytona and SRally on Saturn, which are faithful to Arcade versions), 1x obnoxious music track and some of the worst rubberband AI I have ever suffered this side of MarioKart. Hang On 96 isn't perfect but... yeah... I'd say it's better than MANX TT. Fuck! Even SEGA Touring Cars managed around 4/5 race tracks, different vehicles and various music tracks!

You have good taste in dictionaries. Webster > OED. With that said there's three other definitions that go into greater detail and can very clearly apply to opinions. Personally, I think I made a pretty airtight and succinct case that opinions can be more or less objective. I don't think there's a valid argument otherwise.

*Came here to read about Burning Rangers, ended up with an argument about grammar and motorbike games.*
Come on, Manx TT isn't that bad. The sense of speed is good, graphics are ok and it's some simple arcade fun. But granted it's ridiculous how they catch you up at the last straight. Perhaps should have been a budget title.

*Came here to read about Burning Rangers* Probably the mistake I keep making every day clicking on this thread now. This ongoing argument about the definition of opinion is ridiculous even for internet standards.

Their thesaurus is the best in the business. I still think you're wrong though I'm a professional editor and copywriter, so I'll bring this up in the office and let you know the consensus. Unless SS:UK has had enough of experts RIP Burning Rangers thread xxx
