I was just looking on eBay for Sega Saturns when I came across this model. It looks like a Japanese Model 1 unit from first glance.

If you're referring to the power plug, there's multiple internal revisions of each Saturn model. The power board has a lot of variations in itself.
I checked eBay really quick to see if I could find the one you showed here and I found multiple that looked exactly like that.
If you're just asking if it is a Japanese Model 1, you'd be correct.

It's one of those 220V Asian units, it's basically a Japanese Saturn with a 220V power supply. I think it was meant for the Hong Kong and/or Thailand market, since they usually came with English instructions; Madroms would know for sure.

The auction was pulled And I wanted to bid on it too. Did someone from here gave the seller an offer?

As far as I know, they were NTSC-J region and I doubt most Thai or Hong Kongers could understand Japanese. I'm just wondering what the market was for these specific Saturn units.
