Hi there, I'm new to the forums but have been searching and searching and have only managed to find one video online that has similar issues to my Sega Saturn so I'm hoping someone on here may be able to help! My Saturn is a PAL model 2 and I have been the only owner, I got it as a birthday present when they were widely available. I've never had any issues with it before and when it has gone through periods of not being used, it's been stored in its box under my bed. I've recently moved and set it up along with all my other consoles and I'm now having display issues. When the lid is closed and a disc is being read, the screen flickers. If a game doesn't require any disc reading for a moment it's fine. If I have no disc in, there's no issue. It is literally as soon as it starts to read a disc and whenever it is reading a disc. I'll link to the video I found on YouTube as its incredibly similar to what my Saturn does. my saturn shows more white lines than any duplication though, but the screen distortion happens too. www.youtube.com/watch?v=WBNvxTkf9o0&feature=shareI'd like to point out I'm not very savvy when it comes to the insides of a console and have never had to do nay modifications or repair work before. I'd really appreciate any help though, the consoles playable but it's a bit disorientating and far from ideal! Thank you!

There's a guy here called zyrobs - he will know what is wrong. Probably a voltage issue cause by a component needing replaced.

It's a common issue, try recapping the console.

Well, it is a very common problem. Probably the most common other than the PSU issue that affects early PAL units.
