Hello, I wanted to play a game on my Saturn, haven't played with it for very long, but I have a problem. The console will read games and boot them until the developers logos, then all I get is a black screen. The logos have graphic bugs (one blinking line at the top of one image, several vertical lines of black dots on the other) but I have fully working sound. The first time I tried to load the game (Duke Nukem), I even got the main title of the game with the music but it didn't go further, black screen with music still on. Now I can't get the main title again, it will show a black screen every time after the developers logos. I checked all the tensions from the power supply, and they are ok, also tried to clean the lens with no success. I also replaced one capacitor that had a weird face on the mini board connected to the CD drive with the ribbon cable, no improvement. I am stuck here, so if someone could help me, I would be very grateful. Can't say if it comes from the CD drive, of the power supply, or a graphic processor maybe ?

Hi
You may want to look into adjusting the pots on the CD. If you search the net you can find guides for this. If you do try it I'd recommend marking off the current position with a marker or something before making any adjustments, so you can return to the same position if needs be.

Hi, thanks for your answer. I have already done this on another console I had which couldn't read discs at all. I am a bit skeptical it can work on this console I am currently working on as it manages to read the disc, not sure it comes from the CD Drive but maybe I am wrong ! I am going to give it a try this afternoon !

Ok, so I tried adjusting little by little the pots on the CD drive, with no success. I am out of ideas. Do you think capacitors could be involved in this problem ?
