Hello I have a pair of infrared control pad MK 80315 and the receiver MK 80316
The control pads seems to works, but I think there is a problem with the receiver as it wrongly register the inputs (wrong and random button presses etc.). The box clearly says that the "beam distance is 5m", but even at less than 1 meter there are issues, meaning that it's not the normal working operation.
Box also say there is a "autofire function", and it seems always active, I don't know how to disable it (the "function" button? Dunno) but it's probably making things worse with inputs.
Anyone has some experience with these wireless pad (basic operation and repairing) ? What can I do? I tried to clean the IR receiver diode, but it's also difficult to reach it as it's inside a metal box.
Thanks in advance

Any potential sources of IR pollution in your room? I know some VR headsets can cause this.

Let's see, PSVR is always disconnected, the only source I can think of could be the Plasma TV itself? But I don't think it's an issue, because I regularly use the other Sega official Mega Drive infrared controllers (that seems to share very similar hardware with Saturn infrared ones) without any input issues, on the same tv.
Speaking of which, I previously had the same input issues with the Mega Drive infrared pad at one point, but after a simple opening and cleaning of the receiver pcb and IR diode, everything returned to work perfectly. I guess I was lucky.
Unfortunately doing the same on the Saturn infrared receiver pcb and IR diode doesn't seems to work.
