sonicshuffle here,
24 year old gamer, complete SEGA addict. Have GG, SMD, SS and DC all currently up and running, along with an xbox 360 for live.
Just collecting Saturn and Dreamcast stuff these days - owned both systems since the year they were released - love them both dearly.
I hope to contribute to this forum and give some of you a good challenge on Sega Rally!
UK based gamer, currently finishing a period of study in Japan (I am doing a Ph.D) and will be in the UK again, gaming, by September.

Thanks for the warm welcome! I think I will like it here I don't have any pictures of my collection or anything like that with me at the moment, but I look forward to sharing with you in the future. I remember back in 1995 after the Saturn was released and I had the Game Gear and Mega Drive II and was ready for the Saturn that Christmas. I think it came to about £399 or something insane... and I remember asking my parents if I could have it for Christmas.
Instead, I got a TV. I was gutted, but tried not to show it too much. I saved up my pocket money (£5 per week) and sold a few things to friends at school. September came (my birthday) and my parents asked me what I wanted. A Sega Saturn. They put up £100 and I managed to scrape together the rest (price had come down by then) and I ended up walking out of Currys with a brand new Sega Saturn
I couldn't have been happier. Here we are nearly 15 years since release (crazy, isn't it?) and the Saturn still has a strong community.
See you all in the forums!

Thats a brilliant story and well done for saving up for the mighty SEGA Saturn. I only managed to get mine 2 years later around 97 but the few games I had brought me many fond memories. Looking forward to seeing your collection and I might show mine as I never did it too.

Thanks for the messages guys I have a brother who is 3 years younger than me, so he always loved to play the games with me. He used to play as tails in sonic 2 (one reason I never played Sonic and Knuckles much) and on the saturn we played many two player games to great enjoyment. So many fond memories. However, now I have a little more money (little!!) I am buying some Japanese stuff that I could only dream of back then. Essentially, I am collecting for the Dreamcast, but I have some cool saturn stuff I would like to show you guys (will have to wait til I get back from Asia though!).

Welcome,
Speaking of New TVs... every console I have works on the TV in my room except my Dreamcast?
