Well guys, sorry for the long delay. I've been working on various parts of the arcade and ordered some more parts for the Saturn mod. I'm really starting to crack here, Sure, I love playing Radiant on my 37" but it's just the Arcade Experience!
Unfortunately, the saturn I was going to use has officially kicked the bucket. Hopfeully Craiglist will source me one shortly!

Woo who, I've got the Saturn to Jamma adapter almost completely built. I have to solder a few ends and odds, but the Video is working as well as the Dpad, ABC, and Start! The additional buttons will take me no time, and I'm sourcing an audio amp at the momment. Just got done with a quick game of Virtua Fighter for testing. Here's some shots of it I snapped in a hurry.

How about a step by step guide for beginners? I'd love to get my saturn working through my cab.

Wow, its been forever. Dreamcast has since been wired and several other things have happened
Unfortunately, every cab is a little different so I cant relase a "how to", I recommend that you chance out saturn2jamma on Google, that should get you the info to wire one up. Thats where I got my info.

I finally got around to taking some images of Dreamcast Adapter, I'll get those uploaded later this week. Something worth noting for other modders/arcade hackers: On both the Saturn and Dreamcast I needed a RGB amp. Much more so on the Dreamcast, but I found the ths7314 (6db per channel) to be excellent. Additionally, as with most other consoles you need a Sync separator circuit. The LM1881n worked great for me. Part of the inherent issue is that the THS (amp) chip is only available in SOIC format, there are many other RGB amp methods available, but require many more descrete parts which in turn cost you more. I'm currently trying to come up with a simple PCB for people interested to solder to an existing Jamma "biscuit" or "fingerboard" as they are called. It'd work for any console to jamma conversion that needed RGB amp in addition to the sync separator. Aside from those parts the only other necessary addition is a Audio Amp. I recommend USB powered speakers since you can use voltage right from the jamma harness. I can detail a plethora more information, or at least get anyone pointed in the right direction with arcade hacks for beloved consoles, in the event anyone is interested. Additionally, I have a Jamma modded Model 1 Genesis to post up shortly. It seems Ol' Everest has aquired an '86 SEGA Hang-ON stand up cab also

For a beginner, easy way is to purchase one of those SCART>JAMMA adapter boards some dude in Australia is selling, I have one and it works great with every system I've tried. Then you only need to worry about controls.

I tend to agree, if you don't want to build one yourself, or track down an expensive/fairly difficult to find "timer" then the SCART>Jamma is great. Well, I forgot pictures of the Dreamcast, but my fanboy-ism runs deep - here's the Genesis This one was a bit different from the others because everything is internal. Video Controller Insane mess of wires Assembled Money Shot
