Hello folks,
Thought I'd best introduce myself before I post any more!
I'm Will, born in the eighties, and from Scotland. I'm in my final year as a student studying computer science (nerd on certificate), and I fund Sega Saturn eBay frenzies with part time software development.
I've been an XBox360 gamer for a long time, but after really struggling to find absolutely any games that I'd call great on that platform (besides SSF2T: HD Remix and Ikaruga), I decided to go back to my roots to a time where games still really wowwed me on a regular basis - my Saturn days.
A quick search on eBay and a couple of impuse-buys later, I had a couple of Saturns and wads of games. I instantly fell in love with everything that came through the door, and now the Saturn is on more than the Xbox is. Being such a die-hard Ikaruga fan, I noticed the collection of 2D shooters on the Saturn is quite huge, but unfortunately mostly Japanese - so I grabbed a soldering iron, fired up some guides, and made the necessary modifications. Now I just need to wait for people to kindly donate me some rare Japanese shooters... ;D
I must say, I was extremely surprised to find such an active Saturn community after so long, and I only wish I'd got back into my Saturn sooner. I'm really impressed with the site, and hopefully I can contribute once I've played through some of the Saturn games I have.
Anyway, I'll catch you around...
