i found this forum after trying to find out what is wrong with my saturn, ive looked around for a bit but can't find any similar problems. basically, from what i can tell, my saturn has a problem rendering 3D parts of games instead showing a mess of colour. it is connected to the tv using a scart lead, i have no other leads that would fit it, so i dont know if the problem is there. its pretty hard to describe so i recorded a video of it starting up and playing virtua fighter: www.youtube.com/watch?v=yPomEiDh_Wsany help would be much appreciated. thank you

Hi there, welcome kinda looks like a 32x when the overlay signal is missing... First cheapish thing to try is a new SCART lead, however the only similar thing I've seen on the Saturn side of things was damage to one of the VDPs though overheating, so possibly new motherboard time... Which model of Saturn do you have?

That looks like a tough one. It does seem like a video chip problem. As mick said, I might suspect the cable.
However, if I were a betting man, I'd say something's gone toast in the video chip, which in case, it'd be cheaper to get a replacement saturn.
