I'm having problems with my virtua light guns. I'm using them on a CTR TV, at first only one of them seemed to work, the other seemed to have a faulty trigger button as only the start button was responsive. The other worked great (yay house of teh deads! ;D) for, oh about 15 minute or so then also conked out. Same problem with both, working start buttons (*whoopee!*) but no trigger Could this be something I've done? Is something up with my Saturn or is this a known fault with (and I prey for this) a simple, solder this here fix? I really want to get these working since the pair were a birthday present from my girlfriend and she spent ages getting them for me, I don't want her to be disappointed. Thanks in advance for the help

It's a very common issue with the virtua gun (especially the blue non-jap ones) the switch behind the trigger is cheap and nasty and just craps out, you should be able to replace it at very small cost with a more substantial and well made switch.

Thanks dude, I'll buy some from maplin today and let you know how it goes
btw, brilliant forum. I'm a dreamcast man myself really (although when I saw the saturn in gamestation window and salivated my girlfreind decided I needed one), its way harder getting good advise on DC for some reason... Thanks Dude!

Anytime, loads of long time DC owners here so feel free to ask questions in the 'other sega consoles' section of the forum Mick.

Brilliant! Both working with no problems now thanks,
Whilest I'm here though (A levels taking all my time at the moment), any one got any ideas why, if played for to long, my saturn just dies and the green light simply blinks until its been left for a while.
If any other console were doing this I'd think it was over heating but its not even getting warm. Should I fit a fan or is it something else?
Thanks once again!

I haven't heard of this particular problem on a saturn, but it reminds me of old PS1s starting to crap out when their laser eye starts to get in its last stages of life (which is doesn't seem to take long!) I've never heard of any overheating problems on a saturn.
If the weak laser eye is indeed it, you might try adjusting the laser potentiometer a few mm either way, and see how you go. The plastic potentiometer screw is located right below the laser eye if you open up the Saturn (Can't remember which color it was exactly, but it's either white or orange).
